Eminem calls Trump ‘racist’ and a ‘brainwasher’ as he joins Obama for Kamala Harris rally in Michigan

Eminem will introduce Barack Obama on Tuesday evening at a campaign rally in Detroit in support of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

The rapper will not perform, CNN reports, but will give his opinion on the race before welcoming the former president to the stage.

Eminem is not known for his public appearances, but he will take center stage in the political arena in a key state that could decide the election.

He has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump and even said he would leave the country if Trump wins in November.

Among his many attacks on the former president, the rapper has accused Trump of “brainwashing” his supporters and of being a “racist.”

These comments date back to Eminem’s pre-recorded acceptance speech at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards. It went viral at the time and has recently resurfaced online, gaining even more views.

He has repeatedly criticized Trump in his appearance.

“I’ll say this, he talks well,” he said. “And when you’re in his base… let’s say you go to the rallies or whatever, you watch him on TV, you hear him talking stuff like this, there’s a part of me that understands, okay, he still has them somehow because he brainwashes them into thinking something big is going to happen. Nothing happens. Nothing happens. I don’t know, man. I get really confused talking about it.”

He even offered up a new rap song filled with lyrics criticizing the former president.

‘And every fan of mine/who’s a supporter of his/I’m drawing a line in the sand/you’re for or against/and if you can’t decide/who you like more and you’re divided/about who to stand next to /I’ll ​​do it for you with this,” he sang in the video.

The Detroit native has never been shy about speaking his mind and has gone after other politicians, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Now he is joining forces with Obama to take on Trump in the key battleground state. Polls in Michigan show Trump and Harris running neck-and-neck.

Even once Trump was in the White House, Eminem did not abandon his criticism.

In a December 2017 interview with Vulture in New York Magazine, Eminem said of the then-president, “He makes my blood boil. I can’t even watch the news anymore because it makes me too stressed.

“All jokes aside, all punchlines aside, I’m trying to get a message across about him. “I want our country to be great too, I want it to be the best it can be, but it won’t be with him in charge,” he noted of Trump.

In an earlier era, Trump and Eminem had a more acceptable relationship.

Prior to the 2004 presidential election, Trump appeared in the Eminem concert special “The Shady National Convention,” which aired on MTV.
