Joe Alwyn made his loyalty clear when he posed for a photo with his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s rival Kendall Jenner this weekend.

Taylor divorced Joe last year, while she has been in a public feud with Kendall Jenner’s family for years.

Joe and Kendall both attended the star-studded Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night, while Taylor took the stage for her Eras tour stop in Miami, Florida.

The photo seems to send a clear message, as Kendall and Taylor are known for their awkward relationship.

Both were linked to pop superstar Harry Styles within months, while Taylor had been embroiled in a feud with Kendall’s sister Kim Kardashian for years.

That family rivalry dates back to the release of Kanye West’s 2016 The Life Of Pablo. In the album’s song Famous, Kim’s ex-husband raps: ‘I feel like Taylor and I might still have sex / Why? I made that b**** famous.”

The line, which refers to the moment Kanye interrupted Taylor’s win at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, is said to have been passed to the singer for approval, but she denies ever consenting to it.

Taylor said she had been contacted about the song, but was “never informed of the actual lyrics: ‘I made that b**** Famous.’

In an attempt to prove Kanye’s version, Kim shared an edited clip from the studio of him calling Taylor up and seemingly getting her approval.

However, the clip shows that he’s conveying the idea more than the specific lyrics, and when the full call was later leaked, it became clear that the use of “b****,” which seemed to be a major problem for Taylor, was completely omitted.

Things seemed to settle down in the following years, with Kim claiming on Watch What Happens Live in 2019 that the trio had “moved on” from the dispute.

However, that wasn’t how the Blank Space singer saw it, and she later said in an interview with Elle, “It would be nice if we could get an apology from people who bully us.”

While Taylor’s career has never been better or more prominent than in recent years, she lamented in her 2023 TIME Person of the Year profile that the dispute “took me psychologically to a place I’ve never been before.”

“You have a completely fabricated frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, that Kim Kardashian edited and then broadcast to everyone telling everyone I was a liar,” she seethed.

Meanwhile, Taylor did not end her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn amicably.

In June, Joe finally made the decision to break his silence on the split after being left “emotionally drained” by the endless questions about their six-year romance and subsequent breakup following the release of her latest album.
