Kmart shoppers have discovered a new purchase that ‘everyone’ needs to spruce up their home – and it won’t break the bank.

The Amiri portable rechargeable lamp ($17) has captivated Australians thanks to the ‘luxurious’ glow it gives their homes.

Jess Fusselfrom Perth, recently made the trendy purchase to brighten up her common room.

“The $17 lamp from Kmart that every girl’s house needs,” she said.

Jess also bought her coffee table books and various other home accessories at the bargain store.

“Kmart is truly elite at serving up affordable decor finds.”

Sydney-based interior designer Emma Bloomfield previously told FEMAIL that layered lighting adds a touch of softness to create a dynamic room.

She recommended choosing a combination of lamps, pendants and sconces instead of bright overhead tube lights.

Kmart’s portable touch lamp is perfect for adding dimension to any room – and the low price means you can buy several to place around your home for a cohesive look.

The lamp is currently only available in a gold shade, but shoppers are eager for Kmart to release other colors.

‘I love it! I really want a chrome silver one,” someone said online about the touch lamp.

“Amazing, I need it in my kitchen,” said another.

Another option is the Elly table lamp, which with its pleated lampshade and sage green base seems to come straight from a time capsule from the 1970s.
