Kate Ritchie agreed, joining in: “I remember you so clearly. I think I may even have your signature in an autograph book.’

“What’s nice about meeting you and seeing the reaction of the crowd, it feels like an old friend coming home, which is really nice,” Alesha Dixon added.

It comes after Beven revealed that he had asked his friend Dannii Minogue for advice prior to his appearance on Australia’s Got Talent.

The singer was understandably nervous about appearing on TV for the first time in 34 years, but Dannii’s wise words reassured him.

“I caught up with Dannii before I went to AGT. She said to relax and enjoy it and also said that the conversations with the judges were important,” he told the Herald Sun.

Beven and Dannii have been friends for nearly four decades since they starred together in Young Talent Time from 1983 to 1988.

Trembling said her pep talk helped him find the courage to sing a John Farnham classic song on the hit reality talent show.

He added that appearing in the hit series would be a great way to push himself out of his comfort zone and shake the post-Covid blues.

Young Talent Time featured a core group of young performers who would sing both classic songs and hits of the day as hopefuls competed in a weekly talent show.

Trembling was one of the fangirls’ favorites on Young Talent Time, along with fellow heartthrobs Joey Perone and Vince Deltito.

Trembling stayed with the show for five years and went on to become one of the show’s most beloved cast members.

After YTT, he didn’t hang up the mic, and he still performs on cruise ships.

Earlier this year, Dannii told Minogue about the challenges she faced on YTT as a child.

The 50-year-old said the show pressured her to balance her schoolwork and rehearsals.

“I was the biggest nerd when I was on Young Talent Time. I was doing my homework over lunch in the library so I could start rehearsing right after school,” she explained on Kyle and Jackie O’s show in August.
