Parish fans took to social media to express their devastation over the news that the crime drama was canceled by AMC+ after just one season.
On Thursday, the streaming service confirmed in a statement the news that the series, starring Giancarlo Esposito, Zackary Momoh and Paula Malcomson, had been canceled. The Hollywood Reporter.
“We are so proud of Parish and grateful for the creative talent involved and the performances they brought to the screen, starting with the remarkable Giancarlo Esposito, Skeet Ulrich and the entire cast,” AMC said. “We’re sorry we can’t move forward with a second season, but Season 1 will remain available on AMC+ for fans who want to relive this thrill ride of a series and for those who have yet to discover it.”
Following the announcement, viewers of the show reacted with sadness, calling the cancellation “a shame.”
