The near-fatal accident occurred in the early morning hours of September 15, when a driver of an unknown vehicle traveling south collided with a pedestrian. police reports reveal.

The driver fled the scene after the collision and has not yet been identified.

Acosta said her husband had no identification on him when he was hit.

Green reportedly checked himself into a rehabilitation center shortly before the accident, while his wife said he was struggling with addiction following the unexpected death of his mother months earlier.
