Trump slams Kamala as ‘loser who doesn’t go to any events’ after she claims he’s ‘exhausted’

Donald Trump blasted Kamala Harris on Friday, describing her as a “loser who doesn’t go to events” after she described him as “exhausted” on the campaign trail.

Democrat Harris raised questions about Republican Trump’s physical stamina to serve effectively as president as the two rivals tore through the gridlocked state of Michigan on Friday.

Harris, who turns 60 on Sunday, pushed the case to sow doubts about the 78-year-old Trump.

Age was an issue when President Joe Biden, 81, was still in the race but had faded after he dropped his election bid.

Harris said Friday that news reports that former President Trump skipped interviews because he was tired and passed up the opportunity for a second debate with her raised questions about his fitness for office.

“It should be a concern. If he can’t handle the rigors of the campaign trail, is he qualified to do the job?’ she told reporters before a rally in Grand Rapids. “That’s a legitimate question.”

Trump has skipped some appearances, but his campaign has not given any reasons.

But Trump, speaking to reporters when he arrived in Detroit, eschewed such talk, ridiculing Harris.

‘Which events have I canceled? I didn’t cancel. She doesn’t go to events. She’s a loser. She doesn’t go to events. She didn’t even show up for the Catholics at the hotel last night. It was insulting. It’s all audio clips,” Trump said, clearly shocked by Harris’ accusation.

“Today I was on Fox & Friends at 7 in the morning. Then I went to two other gigs. I then made about 15 phone calls. I’ve now had 48 days without rest and I have that loser who doesn’t have the energy of the bunny,” Trump continued.

‘All they do is put out sound bites. Tell me when you’ve seen even a little peace? I’m not even tired. I’m really excited. Do you know why? We’re killing her at the polls because the American people don’t want her. She failed her bar exam. She’s not a smart person. She is not someone who should be representing our country.”

The polls in the most competitive states in the election are effectively tied.

During the Fox & Friends interview, Trump also complained about negative television ads on Fox about him and said he would ask Rupert Murdoch, the founder of Fox News parent company News Corp, to ensure that such ads don’t run until Election Day on Nov. 5 broadcast. .

“I’m going to say, ‘Rupert, please do it this way and we’ll get a win because that’s what everyone wants,’” Trump said.

Trump visited a campaign office in Hamtramck, where he heard words of praise from the Detroit suburb’s first Muslim mayor, Amer Ghalib.

Trump sought support from Arab Americans in Michigan who were disenchanted with Democrats, Vice President Harris and Biden over US support for Israel in the Gaza conflict.

‘At the end of the day we all want one thing. We want peace in the Middle East. We are going to achieve peace in the Middle East. It’s going to happen very soon. It can happen with the right leadership in Washington,” Trump said, without elaborating.

Trump returned to Detroit on Friday evening. Michigan’s largest city, for a rally after it was said on October 10 that the rest of the US would become Detroit if Harris won.

Harris, after speaking in Grand Rapids, the heart of more conservative western Michigan, headed east Friday evening to Lansing and then to Oakland County, which includes the suburbs northwest of Detroit.

The Midwestern state has about 8.4 million voters and would give the winner 15 Electoral College votes out of the 270 needed to win, which could be a decisive number.

Harris and Trump are competing fiercely for the state’s Arab-American, senior, union and blue-collar voters.

On Thursday, Harris said Trump “gaslighted” the American public over his loyalists’ deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Trump recently called the attack a “day of love.”

Public and internal campaign polls show razor-thin margins for Harris or Trump in Michigan and other battleground states. That worries Democrats.

Trump won Michigan in 2016 by 11,000 votes. In 2020, Biden defeated Trump by 155,000 votes.

Harris is changing the strategy of her whirlwind campaign to win over more Republicans and men of all races.

he also enlists popular former first lady Michelle Obama, who will campaign for Harris in Michigan on October 26.

Nationally, Harris’ lead has narrowed from a 7 percentage point lead over Trump at the end of September to just 3 points, according to Reuters/Ipsos polling.

High food costs and rising rents continue to worry Americans, while Trump heightens fears about migrants crossing the US-Mexico border with increasingly extreme rhetoric.
