Trump makes stunning admission about abortion and women voters: ‘It’s all nonsense’

Donald Trump points out that he is deeply underwater when it comes to female voters, calling it “nonsense” as Kamala Harris leads him by double digits among women.

The former president was asked Friday morning about his declining support from women on Fox & Friends, but dismissed the idea that he needs to do better.

“I think I do very well with women, and I think it’s all nonsense,” Trump said in response to a question from host Brian Kilmeade.

“I see the polls and we’re doing well,” the 78-year-old nominee insisted.

That’s when the former president brought up abortion, which has been a leading issue among female voters since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade in 2022, ending federal abortion protections.

“You have one problem, you have the issue of abortion,” Trump said. “Without abortion, the women love me.”

Former President Donald Trump claimed it’s “all bullshit” that he doesn’t do well with women and said “without abortion, the women love me” during an appearance on Fox & Friends Friday

Trump then claimed that women “like me anyway” because what he has done is “so good.”

“I took this issue out of the federal government and back to the states where they vote,” the Republican presidential candidate boasted.

He reiterated that he believes in exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother. But not all states that have banned abortion since Roe was overturned have such exceptions.

Trump said the issue has been tearing the country apart for more than 50 years and repeated his false statement that no one in the federal government wanted this.

He then praised the six “very brave justices” who overturned Roe with the Dobbs decision. Trump appointed three of those six judges as president.

Kilmeade tried to cut Trump off as he rambled, but the former president insisted the country is now coming together and “voting.”

A new poll from Emerson College on Friday showed Harris leading Trump by one point nationally, 49 percent to 48 percent.

But when it comes to female voters, Harris leads by double digits, 55 percent to 41 percent. It also found that abortion remains one of the most important issues for voters.

Speaking about abortion rights has been one of Harris’ strongest lines of attack against Trump during his campaign.

In a blistering attack on Thursday in Wisconsin, Harris castigated the ex-president, declaring, “No Donald, everyone didn’t want Roe v Wade overturned.”

But as Trump struggles with female voters, he appears reluctant to enlist the help of those who might be able to give him a boost with the key voting bloc.

Kilmeade asked Trump about his former Republican opponent Nikki Haley, who campaigned for him in the final stretch. Kilmeade suggested it could support some Republican voters.

“Did you want to call her for the last 18 days and say, ‘Come with me?’ Kilmeade asked.

Trump said he would do what he had to do.

But then he talked about how badly he beat his former ambassador to the United Nations in the primaries, despite her publicly supporting him since he left the race.

“Nikki Haley and I fought, and I beat her by 50, 60, 90 points,” Trump said. “I beat her in her own state by numbers that no one has ever beaten before.”

Kilmeade tried to interrupt the ex-president, but he wasn’t done ranting about the primaries and people still bringing up “Nikki.”

At one point, Trump insisted that “Nikki is there” and that she is “already” helping them.

Although Haley endorsed Trump and spoke at the convention in July, she has not hosted any specific campaign events for him, although there are reports that she is in talks with the campaign.

Ultimately, Trump changed the subject by pointing out that Elon Musk is campaigning for him and went on a tangent about watching a rocket land.

Despite the hosts’ insistence, Trump did not make any overtures to disappointed Haley primary voters during the interview.

Meanwhile, Democrats have campaigned for support from some Republicans, like Haley voters, who are not sold on another Trump term.
