Where is Michelle Obama? Former First Lady goes awol as Kamala campaign sees dip in polls

With just weeks to go until Election Day and the race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris narrowing dramatically, one of the most famous Democrats remains on the sidelines.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama has not been seen anywhere near Harris or her campaign since she appeared at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago nearly two months ago.

At the time, the vice president saw a surge of support after President Joe Biden withdrew his re-election bid and Harris was riding high in the positive polls.

But now that Harris is immersed in the national investigations, Michelle Obama is nowhere to be found.

And sources indicate that this is because Obama fears for her safety after the multiple assassination attempts on Trump. NBC News reported this week.

“After the two assassination attempts on former President Trump, the staffs of all former presidents and first ladies have recognized the new reality, and that includes the Secret Service,” a source familiar with the situation told the outlet.

They said the efforts were “a wake-up call for everyone” and had made individuals in those circles, like Obama, aware “of the new reality.”

Sources revealed that Obama will have “made her voice heard” by the time Election Day arrives, indicating that she may soon be looking for Harris.

At the time, Barack’s wife was considered the most attractive candidate among all Democrats to lead the party forward.

A Reuters/Ipsos a July 2 survey found that Michelle Obama was the only hypothetical candidate who could beat Trump.

Respondents gave her glowing reviews, giving her 50 percent of their support, while the ex-president received only 39 percent.

Obama’s enormous popularity could be a necessary buoy for Harris to cling to as she continues to gain water and sink further in the polls.

But the former first lady has instead focused on getting Americans registered to vote.

Her organization, When We All Vote, hosts events to boost voter registration ahead of the Nov. 5 election.

The group recently held events in Florida, Georgia and Arizona and has many more events planned.

Former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have now campaigned for Harris.
