Everything announced during Microsoft’s Xbox Partner Preview
Microsoft aired its Xbox Partner Preview on Thursday, with updates from Remedy Entertainment, Sega and more. Players got a look Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Alan Wake2‘s next expansion, and Wuchang: fallen feathers. The event kicked off at 1:00 PM EDT on Thursday and was streamed on YouTube, Twitch and LinkedIn.
Everything on display – more than a dozen 25-minute-plus trailers – comes from Microsoft’s third-party partners, which doesn’t mean anything from explicitly Xbox studios. Microsoft had a lot of horror games, like Phasmophobia on Xbox and a trailer for it Alan Wake 2: The Lakehouse. But perhaps most exciting is what came last: a co-op shooter set in the Control universe called FBC: Firebreak.

Alan Wake 2: The Lakehouse
Microsoft kicked off its Xbox Partner Preview with a trailer for the near future Alan Wake2 DLC, called The Lake House. It will be released on October 22nd. It’s definitely a much darker, horror-based version of Alan Wake. Ideal for Halloween!
Then more horror! The scary trailer for Bloober Team’s Chronos: the new dawn shows a grandmother playing chess with a bloodied, sci-fi monster hunter. There are a lot of creepy crawly monsters and the game is expected next year.
Less blood and guts, but more heart-pounding gameplay is on offer Blindfirea “light-removal” shooting game currently in early access.
Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
The Yakuza franchise heads to the high seas of Hawaii for a thrilling pirate adventure Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Like other games in the Yakuza franchise, it seems to be based on magical realism, but make it pirates.
Mouse: PI for rent looks straight out of Disney’s old Mickey Mouse cartoons. The noir, mystery shooter looks set to be available in 2025.
Back to scary! Microsoft showed a trailer for it Subnautics 2 – the co-op game is a survival game set in the ocean of an alien planet, and it looks downright gruesome. It will be released in early access in 2025.
Animal welfare is making a surprise release on Xbox Series X on Thursday. The neon platformer is one of the best indie games of the year, so Xbox players won’t want to miss it.

Okay, that’s bloody! Wuchang: fallen feathersThe game’s trailer opened with a person wading through a forest of dead, hanging bodies before showing off the sword fighting gameplay. Wuchang: fallen feathers will be released in 2025.
Set in the world of Control, FBC: Firebreak is a multiplayer first-person shooter coming to Windows PC and Xbox Series X in 2025. The three-player cooperative shooter takes place in Control’s Federal Bureau of Control as “deadly,” “alien forces” besiege the headquarters.
