How shoppers are snapping up high-end designer brands for fraction of the price at a little-known Aussie retailer: ‘I’m blown away’
Australian shoppers have discovered a ‘hidden gem’ discount store where you can find designer goods from brands including Fendi, Dior and Aje at affordable prices.
The cost of living crisis has caused Australians to tighten their wallets and give up luxuries like new outfits for every occasion.
TK Maxx – with stores in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia – is the answer to buying new clothes and shoes on a budget.
Beth Zazlanfrom Queensland, recently found a gold mine of clothing lines from Australian brands such as Camilla and Marc, Acler, Bec+Bridge, Shona Joy, Dion Lee, Zimmerman and Acler.
‘I was there for a pillow, but I ended up grabbing a pair of sparkly earrings [American jewellery brand] Badgley Mischka,” Beth told FEMAIL.
She went to the Newstead store in Fortitude Valley.
TK Maxx is selling old stock from previous seasons – and shoppers have described it as a ‘clearance scavenger hunt’.
Many have seen bags from Fendi, Dior and Bottega Venetta on sale.

Others spotted sunglasses from Gucci and Versace, accessories from Hugo Boss and dresses from Christopher Esber.
Beth said: ‘I was really impressed, so if you’re looking for a bargain, head there.’
A David Jones employee revealed in a comment that discounted items from stores that aren’t selling are being sent to TK Maxx.
A few shoppers shared the shocking finds they discovered.
“I saw Manolo Blahniks at Southern Cross TK Maxx,” said one.
“It’s basically an outlet store so always keep an eye on it because some of the brands they get in are wild and it’s so exciting,” another added.
“I found Gucci sunglasses, Ag jeans, Rag & Bone jeans and Christopher Esber dresses in the last week,” a third wrote.
