Call of Duty and StarCraft aren’t the only things coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks
Those are the headlines, but we already knew them – and in Microsoft’s new pricing structure, they’re limited to PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Microsoft hasn’t forgotten about Standard tier subscribers for console users. These members get a few older games – some returning to Game Pass after a previous run on the service – that are still worth checking out if you haven’t played them before: 2017’s comedy role-playing sequel South Park: The Broken But Wholethe physics puzzle game of 2018 Donut County (where you play like a hole in the ground), and Ashena compellingly moody indie Soulslike, also from 2018.
Elsewhere in the lineup, there’s expanded availability for a few games already on the service. Death Island 2already available on cloud and console, coming to PC Game Pass players. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3which was added in July for PC and console players will be available to play in the cloud starting today BlackOps6‘s release, just like Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone.
Here’s what’s coming to Game Pass for the rest of October and early November:
It has been determined that a few games will have to leave the service as new games are added, to maintain balance in the universe. The following games will all leave Game Pass on October 31st. I have to give a shoutout here to the fantastic mountain bike game Lonely Mountains: Downhill. Check it out while you can – or if, like me, you’ve made it a staple of your Game Pass catalogue, consider taking advantage of the member discount to add it to your collection permanently.
