Has Victoria Beckham played matchmaker in Romeo’s new romance months after split from Mia Regan?
As a mother who is incredibly close to her children, Victoria Beckham is undoubtedly invested in her son’s love life. She was devastated when Romeo split from his childhood sweetheart, Mia Regan.
And when the 22-year-old debuted his romance with 23-year-old photographer and “wild child,” Gray Sorrenti, it should come as no surprise that Posh Spice, 50, is linking her son to his new flame.
Gray is the daughter of Victoria’s friend and collaborator – famed fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti – who shot the 2019 campaign for Posh’s first collaboration with Reebok.
Sorrenti is best known for shooting Kate Moss’ iconic Calvin Klein ad in the ’90s, but has also shot the mother of four for her publicity photos.
Posh said in 2019: ‘I’m behind the camera with Mario all day and at the end I’m the one who has to be on the other side of the camera. It can be stressful having to wear both hats.”
Romeo Beckham and Gray Sorrenti confirmed their romance after they were spotted in New York on a romantic walk, locking lips and embracing
Five years later, their kids enjoyed a romantic stroll in New York this week and they packed on the PDA, locked lips and wrapped their arms around each other.
Romeo and Gray were first spotted together when Beckham’s second eldest son was in Paris to support his mother last month and was spotted taking a taxi together after the Saint Laurent party.
It comes as Romeo announced he was leaving Brentford FC’s reserve team and football in general to follow in his fashionista mother’s footsteps.
Posh undoubtedly approves of the relationship, as she has been following Gray on Instagram for years, a rising star in the fashion world and following in her father’s footsteps as a photographer.
Gray, a fellow fake baby of Romeo, has shot ad campaigns for the likes of Loewe, Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein, as well as a slew of famous magazine covers.
Curiously, another long-term follower of Gray is Romeo’s ex-girlfriend, Mia Regan, who dated the former footballer for five years before confirming their divorce in February.
Mia, a model and social media influencer, has been liking Gray’s photos on Instagram since 2021, when she was dating Romeo.
But the pair split after reportedly having a falling out, with Mia leaving his home in Battersea and both confirming this on their Instagram, saying: ‘After five years we struck up a friendship with each other.’

Victoria is said to have been devastated by the split as she was very close to Mia, who was a muse for her label.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: ‘Mia and Victoria have always been the two who have been close – in fact, Mia was by her side during the row with Nicola and has been a constant support.’
Romeo and Mia are still friends, but it’s not the same for Victoria, so she’s so relieved that Nicola is actually in her life now.
“Victoria is all about family, and she longs to have close relationships with her sons’ partners.”
The former Spice Girl fell out with her eldest son Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, during preparations for the couple’s wedding in May 2022.

There was plenty of speculation at the time, but it seems the trouble started after it emerged Victoria didn’t have time to make Nicola’s wedding dress.
Instead, the bride wore Valentino – and later gave an interview in which she insisted that Victoria’s offer was not intended as a slight to her new mother-in-law.
Nicola said: ‘I went to do it and I really wanted to, and a few months later she realized her studio couldn’t do it so I had to choose another dress.’
But the women have reconciled and Nicola has since often called her mother-in-law’s designs ‘genius’ and the pair are undoubtedly closer than ever.
