Britain’s Got Talent 2024 FIRST LOOK: Bruno Tonioli is missing from judging panel as he is replaced by Youtuber KSI

Britain’s Got Talent is back!

Judges Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and KSI stirred up a storm with veteran presenters Ant and Dec as they kicked off the first day of the 2024 series on Tuesday.

Ahead of the new season, the judges put on their typically glitzy performance as Amanda, 53, looked stunning in an olive green off-the-shoulder dress.

Alesha also looked sensational as she wore a white T-shirt over a sheer black corset.

But the group photo was missing one familiar face, namely the latest edition of the panel, KSI – real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji – occupies Bruno Tonioli’s seat.

Earlier on Tuesday, Amanda revealed a first sneak peek of the 2024 jury after KSI temporarily replaced Bruno.

The veteran judge posed for a cheeky selfie backstage with her fellow judges.

BGT kicked off its first show on Tuesday and YouTuber KSI is said to have replaced Bruno as he is busy filming Dancing With The Stars – an American version of Strictly Come Dancing.

She took to her Instagram Story with the photo and wrote in her caption, “What a lineup. Send [love] to @brunotonioliofficial.’

And KSI seems to have settled right in, as it’s believed the content creator got his own golden buzzer for his stint on the panel.

KSI will star on the talent show’s judging panel for only three of the five audition days in the first round.

A source said the sun: ‘Bosses were keen for KSI to appear as a full-time judge would as he has to appear for a number of days.

‘It means there will be one more Golden Buzzer act this year, with the other judges and presenters Ant and Dec also getting the chance to press it.

‘It will undoubtedly make the final more exciting to see which jury can best identify a winner.’

It is believed that the content creator has been enabled to attract a younger audience.

A source said The sun in 2023: ‘Simon Cowell knows that KSI is a big hit with the younger generation.

“He would be a great addition to attract teenage fans, something the producers are keen to do.

‘KSI is talking to bosses in the hope of closing a deal that also fits into his hectic schedule.’

When it was rumored that KSI would be joining the panel for the first time, Simon, 65, had to shut down rumors that Bruno would be permanently axed.

It was confirmed last year that the Italian choreographer will return next year despite scheduling conflicts, but he admitted there will be some sort of stand-in.

The music mogul appeared on Heart Radio and explained: ‘I wouldn’t replace him. I love Bruno on the show.”

Simon explained that there was a problem with Bruno’s schedule and therefore the star had to be substituted for some auditions that he cannot attend.

Clearing up the rumors Host Jamie Theakston asked the star: ‘I’m going to read you a headline today from one of the newspapers Simon… ‘Britain’s Got Talent to drop jury, Bruno’

When Simon admitted the headline was fake, Jamie insisted, “Okay, what about that isn’t the truth?

Simon explained, “Seriously. I was talking to… I don’t know where all this stuff comes from. I literally spoke to the producers two weeks ago about a scheduling issue with Bruno.

“Because we’re doing auditions… some of the auditions this year and he’s going to America.

“So maybe there will be a stand-in for him. Don’t know. But I love Bruno on the show. I think he’s brilliant.’

Fellow judge Amanda agreed, adding: ‘He brings such great energy and he knows so much.’

“And he knows so much what he’s talking about. And he’s actually a brilliant, brilliant judge and the nicest person. So no, I wouldn’t replace him,” Simon added.

“So…Bruno’s coming back?” Jamie asked as Simon confirmed once and for all, “He’ll be back.”

Jamie then asked: ‘Have you approached Alan Carr?’ as Simon replied: ‘No, Amanda wants Alan.’

‘How much say does she have?’ Jamie asked, to which Simon quickly replied, “No,” and Amanda shouted, “I have nothing to say.”

Jamie then joked: “Is Amanda coming back?” as Simon teased, “Well, look, let’s celebrate her past.

Simon explained, “Seriously. I was talking to... I don't know where all this stuff comes from. I literally spoke to the producers two weeks ago about a scheduling issue with Bruno.

“I want to say how much Amanda has brought to the show over the years. I mean, seriously and it will be… it won’t be easy to replace you, but I just want to thank you publicly.”

Amanda added: “Thanks, Simon. It was an absolute pleasure.’

‘We had fun! I had you manage the mortgage for 18 years. So thank you.’

In candor, Simon said, “Can I be honest with you? I wouldn’t change this jury, I think it’s something… it’s like your show, your number one. Why would I change the BGT?’

KSI talked about his music career on Capital Radio on Tuesday.

He told host Jimmy Hill that hurtful comments about his music make him want to “stick his head through a wall” as he revealed a fan sent him feces in the post.

During the chat, Jimmy asked: ‘It’s part of being an online personality – everything you do and put out there, everyone has an opinion about it. Are you still watching these views or have you learned to block them out now?”

KSI said, “Oh, I watch everything. I look at everything. Sometimes it affects me, sometimes it doesn’t. Lately, because of the attack I’ve been under from my music, I think that’s affecting me a little bit, just because it’s obviously personal, it’s my music.”

‘I think that makes me a lot more emotional than if I were to make a video, for example. Then I’d just be like, ‘Cool, whatever. It is what it is,” and I would just move on.

But because it is music, you put a lot of time, mind, body and soul into a work of art and then you put it out into the world.

Then you just have people saying, ‘Oh, crap! You suck! Turn that off! Shrink!’ It kind of makes me want to stick my head through a wall.”
