Inside the incredible $15million Byron Bay retreat used to film Nicole Kidman’s Nine Perfect Strangers as it hits the market
The incredible Byron Bay retreat from Nicole Kidman’s hit series Nine Perfect Strangers has hit the market.
The boutique wellness getaway is surrounded by dense bushland and features 10 bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms.
No price guide has been set for the beautiful trail that features a geodesic dome, outdoor cinema, swimming pool and fire pit.
However, the Sydney Morning Herald reported on Saturday that the chic villa has already attracted a bid of $15 million.
Owners Peter Ostick, a tech businessman, and Gary Garrow, a meditation expert, built the property known as Soma in 2019 after purchasing the nine-acre site in 2016 for just $1.8 million.
The building was used for the filming of Nine Perfect Strangers in 2020.
The centre, located in the hinterland of Ewingsdale, 5 km from the township of Byron Bay, was designed by architect Rieky Sunur and has a concrete and wooden style.
Highlights include the floor-to-ceiling windows that provide stunning views of the surrounding hills.

The second floor also has stylishly clad walls covered with vertical wooden slats.
In the main house, guests have access to a chef-style kitchen with high-end appliances and plenty of counter space.
Meanwhile, the dining room offers beautiful views of the lush landscape.
According to the Soma website, a full four-night retreat package including a king bed is worth $3,390 per person.
Meanwhile, Soma’s owners charged $6,820 for a one-day rental in 2021.

Fans of Nine Perfect Strangers will recognize Soma as the location for the sinister ‘wellness’ retreat that was key to the hit crime story.
In the series, Nicole stars as Masha Dmitrichenko, a Russian expat and the founder of Tranquillum House.
Melissa McCarthy, Bobby Cannavale, Reginal Hall and Samara Weaving are guests who come to the retreat hoping to be healed and spiritually transformed.
But things quickly go wrong for the guests when the truth about Nicole comes to light.
The series reunites Nicole with Big Little Lies creator and writer David E. Kelly, as well as novelist Liane Moriarty, who wrote the novels on which both shows were based.
Soma’s geodesic ‘yoga’ dome was prominently featured in Nine Perfect Strangers, which debuted on Prime Video in 2021.
