Jets fans fume at kicker Greg Zuerlein after two costly misses in defeat by the Bills
Jets fans buried kicker Greg Zuerlein on social media after he missed two crucial field goals against the Bills on Monday night.
In a closely contested showdown at MetLife, Zuerlein had not one, but two chances to break a 20-20 deadlock.
Late in the third quarter, the kicker hit the post on a 32-yard attempt. He had another chance from 43 yards out early in the fourth, but smashed the woodwork again, leaving the fans furious as the Bills secured a 23-20 victory.
“I will NEVER forgive Greg Zuerlein for tonight’s performance,” one fan wrote.
“We’d be 4-2 if Greg Zuerlein was a better kicker,” a second added.

‘The first game under a new regime wasn’t terrible, you can’t coach or decoach those penalties, man, it’s sloppy as f***’ a third complained.
“The NYJ needs to clean the fuck up and tell Zuerlein to tighten it up, that’s TWO GAMES that could have been decided by his boot man.”
A fourth added that “Greg Zuerlein needs to be cut tonight,” while a fifth added, “What about the fact that Greg Zuerlein is an absolute bum?”
Zuerlein made two of his four kicks for eight points before folding when his shoe mattered most. The stat line has him at 6-8 this season.
In a 10-9 loss to the Broncos in September, Zuerlein was torched for missing a 50-yarder in a 3-4 performance.

Their third consecutive loss drops the Jets to 2-4 on the season. Before Monday, they suffered back-to-back losses to Denver in Minnesota.
The Jets opened their season with a loss to San Francisco before picking up a pair of wins over Tennessee and New England. They will look to get back into the winning column when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers and face the Patriots again on October 20 and 27 respectively.
They close out the month on the 31st when they host the Texans at MetLife Stadium.
