Mariah Carey goes on epic rant about ‘hideous’ overhead lighting on Las Culturistas

Mariah Carey delivered an incredible and hilarious rant about ceiling lights.

The 55-year-old artist, who recently recreated her iconic All I Want For Christmas Is You cover shoot, appeared on the highly popular Las Culturistas podcast, hosted by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, sporting unflattering lighting.

The pair do a segment called “I Don’t Think So Honey,” which gives their guests the chance to rant for a minute about any topic.

Mariah made no bones about it when she said, “I can’t do it with the ceiling lights.

‘Why are they doing this to us? I shouldn’t say: we, it’s not us, it’s me.’

The singer hilariously continued her ordeal by listing the places with overhead lighting.

She said: ‘I’m the one most tormented by the horrible lighting in lifts, doorways, gyms – not that I go to the gym, just saying.

‘It’s a horrible lighting. The sun is okay when it’s sunset, I like to go outside and put on a hat or whatever and that will be nice because the sunlight caresses your skin.’

After praising the natural lighting, she wrapped up her rant in epic form.

Mariah concluded, “It’s bad for you, so you have to be careful. But I don’t think there’s overhead lighting, dear.

‘Please stop it! Everywhere I go, turn off the lights! I don’t want to see them anymore. Overhead lighting, it’s making me sick!’

Meanwhile, just days ago, she paid tribute to her iconic Christmas classic, All I Want For Christmas Is You, 30 years after releasing the catchy tune.

The music sensation and ‘Queen of Christmas’ are re-releasing the song in honor of its 30th anniversary – and have recreated the song’s original photoshoot for the single’s cover.

Carey revealed two of the covers — one of which is very similar to the original shoot — on her Instagram on Wednesday.

The vinyl cover offers an updated twist on the original shoot, which featured Mariah dressed in a Santa-inspired jumpsuit while sitting in the snow.

In the new edition, the Glitter actress, 55, wears a similar red jumpsuit as she squats on a soft fur sofa.

Mariah noted in the caption, “While it’s definitely not time to listen to Christmas music yet I wanted to share a glimpse of #MerryChristmas30 with you!

‘A tribute to the original album cover, here’s the cover art for two of the four new ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ physical singles… now available for pre-order.’

The second cover Mariah included in her carousel featured the Glitter actress happily posing in a glamorous white dress with a slit at the legs next to a snowy tree.

That specific cover is intended for the cassette.

The remaining two other album covers have yet to be revealed.

The 30th anniversary music, currently available in gold cassette and seven-inch vinyl, is now available for pre-order.

In August, Mariah announced she would be going on tour over the holidays.

The songbird will visit twenty cities from early November to mid-December to celebrate this milestone with her fans.

The five-time Grammy winner shared the news and tour dates on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself in a glittering, glamorous red dress surrounded by Christmas trees.
