Missing tycoon’s wife revealed chilling secret an hour before she vanished screaming from mansion
A tycoon’s wife disappeared screaming from her mansion shortly after calling her mother to say her husband had physically abused her.
Suzanne Clark Simpson, 51, disappeared from her $1.4 million home in Olmos Park last Sunday night around 11 p.m., following an alleged dispute with her wealthy husband, 53-year-old Brad Simpson. No trace of her has been found; Simpson was arrested and refused to cooperate with police.
The mother of missing mother-of-four Barbara Clark has now revealed the terrifying phone call she had to Suzanne just an hour before she was last seen.
Speaking at a vigil in Suzanne’s honor last night at the Lourdes Grotto, Clark said: “She called me and told me things that Brad had physically done to her.”
Clark said Suzanne confided in her that Simpson had injured her arm and her back that evening, October 6, around 9 p.m.
Suzanne Clark Simpson, 51, disappeared from her million-dollar home around 11pm last Sunday evening following an alleged dispute with her wealthy husband, 53-year-old Brad Simpson.
Suzanne was pictured alone in the exclusive, members-only club, wearing a dark knee-length dress and with her hair falling past her shoulders.
‘I came up with an alternative plan for her, namely that she would move in with me and send her toddler to the primary school in my neighborhood.
“I never got to tell her the plan.”
Simpson is now in custody, charged with domestic violence and unlawful restraint. He is being held on a $2 million bond and will attend a bond hearing Tuesday.
While loved ones still hope Suzanne is safe, Clark said she fears her daughter has been murdered.
When asked if she believes Suzanne is still alive, Clark responded KSAT: ‘I don’t think she is. I haven’t heard from her.’
‘Suzanne, we love you. We need you. And we pray for you.”
A neighbor told police he heard the couple arguing from his window and saw the two engaged in a physical fight, with Brad “grabbing her upper body to gain control of her body,” according to a police report.
Villegas begged Suzanne to return home to her children if she is still alive and well
A thorough investigation has already taken place into the Olmos Park family’s four-bedroom, five-bathroom home (pictured), worth an estimated $1.5 million.
Clark said she would like to visit Simpson behind bars “and ask him why,” she said. ‘What happened?’
Simpson, of Olmos Park near San Antonio, initially cooperated with police after reporting his wife missing, but later remained silent and hired a lawyer.
On Friday, police released a terrifying photo of Suzanne earlier the day she disappeared, showing her walking through The Argyle in Alamo Heights.
Suzanne was pictured alone in the exclusive members-only club, wearing a dark knee-length dress and with her hair falling past her shoulders.
Just hours after this photo was taken, neighbors claim they heard an aggressive fight between Suzanne and her husband.
Brad Chandler Simpson, 53, of Olmos Park – four miles north of San Antonio – was arrested just three days after his wife Suzanne Clark Simpson, 51, went missing
Brad allegedly did not cooperate during the investigation and did not show up for a follow-up interview. Authorities said the real estate agent, who worked for Nix Realty Company, went missing after attending a party at The Argyle in the Alamo Heights neighborhood.
That neighbor claims he saw Simpson punch and restrain his wife before they both wandered off into a nearby wooded area.
Shortly after that conversation, the neighbor claims he heard screams coming from the woods.
Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas has since confirmed: “That night we believe she was in distress.”
‘However, it is very suspicious that she is clearly not going to work and that she is not looking after her children. That’s a clear problem.’
Police released a photo of Simpson’s black pickup truck in which he was seen arguing with Suzanne
“Maybe she’s out there somewhere, we just don’t know about it.”
Investigations are ongoing and local police have expanded their search to other Simpson family properties.
Simpson and his family have an extensive real estate portfolio in San Antonio and Texas.

Suzanne’s brother-in-law Barton Tinsley Simpson described her disappearance as an ‘unimaginable ordeal’.
“We won’t stop until we find her,” he said.
