The 2024 season of the Pro Kabaddi League is just around the corner and the twelve participating teams are all ready to give 100 percent to secure the ultimate prize at the end of the season. The tournament will kick off in Hyderabad on October 18 and the teams will be hoping to get the best possible start to their campaign. The first step is to understand the team compositions. With that in mind, here is the SWOT analysis of last edition’s runners-up, Haryana Steelers.

Strengths
Haryana’s biggest strength in the coming season will be their defense, with retained defenders Rahul Sethpal and Jaideep. The Steelers will also have Iranian star Mohammadreza Shadloui, last season’s best defenseman, making their defensive line something to look forward to.
Weaknesses
While the defense will be Haryana’s biggest ally, their inexperienced attacking line-up is a department they need to work on before the start of the season. Vinay will be the Steelers’ only experienced raider in PKL 2024, meaning they will rely heavily on him to perform and lead the other young raiders to compete with other teams’ strong raiders.
Possibilities
The long list of inexperienced players also allows them to surprise other teams with unexpected tactics and approaches to the game. With veteran coach Manpreet Singh continuing in his role, the Steelers are capable of pulling off some surprises.
Threats
One thing the Steelers need to keep an eye on is their reliance on a few star players to get results. While these players have the honor of living up to expectations, other teams may target them to control them, potentially exposing the inexperienced side of the team.
