Brantley Gilbert’s wife gives birth on tour bus during his concert: ‘Craziest night of my life’
Country singer Brantley Gilbert’s wife, Amber Cochran Gilbert, gave birth to their third child on a tour bus in the middle of his concert on Friday.
Brantley, 39, was singing on stage when his wife went into labor. The mother of three gave birth in the middle of her husband’s concert in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Just after he started the concert of his Off the Rails tour, he received a message that there was an emergency offstage, he explained in the Instagram video he shared.
“So last night might have been the craziest night of my life. Seeing such an amazing woman do something so amazing is something I will never forget,” he wrote on Instagram.
He ran off stage, out of the arena and to his tour bus to be with his wife. After their son was born, he briefly called his mother and then returned to the Cadence Bank Arena in Elvis Presley’s hometown to continue his concert.

He further explained the night’s events in an Instagram post.
“Thank you to our road family who rallied around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little guy into the world, and Tupelo, Mississippi, for showing us crazy love and support.”
“And most of all… Amber Gilbert, for making me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you,” he gushed.
In the video, he was seen talking to his mother, who asked him how he was doing.
“Not as good as you’re about to be. You have a new grandbaby,” he said.
‘Do I have a new grandchild? I do?’ she might respond excitedly as the video cuts to black and white shots of him holding his newborn’s hands.
His mother then asked him how Amber was doing, and he said she was “a damn savage.”
“I know she is. She’s great. She is absolutely amazing,” his mother said before telling her he was “going to finish the show” and then FaceTime her.
The video is about him going back on stage and letting the audience know, “We’re having a baby.”
He shared photos of his wife and new son, as well as a sweet moment with his band as he embraced them, still charged with emotions from the birth of his son.
