I live in Aurora, Colorado, where Venezuelan gangs are ravaging my city: Here’s why I’m voting for Trump
The activities of migrant gangs in Aurora, Colorado, are making residents feel threatened and causing some to avoid the city all together, locals told DailyMail.com.
Speaking before a crowd of thousands of people in Aurora, Colorado, on Friday, Donald Trump hammered the immigration policies of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, blaming them for the activity of local migrant gangs.
Reports about the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua (TDA), operating in Aurora, went viral in August after a video showed men with rifles and pistols threatening apartment residents before a 25-year-old man was shot and killed.
However, Colorado Governor Jared Polis has said that TDA’s presence in the area does not extend beyond a takeover or the “war zone” Trump has described.
But the MAGA faithful who attended Trump’s rally on Friday were adamant that security in Aurora is worse off because of the gang activity.

Recon, a Marine Corps veteran and Aurora resident, told DailyMail.com that the media has not been following TDA gang activity closely enough.
“I’m from Aurora Colorado, born and raised Denver Aurora. I went to the Marine Corps for eight years and came back home. “On the migrant situation, I’ll be honest with you: the news, the media and the Democrats are covering it up because it’s bad for politics.”
He said the TDA gang activity is real and “just spreading through the communities they choose,” noting that the gang activity is not happening in nicer areas.
“They don’t send them to Highlands Ranch. They don’t send them to the village of Cherry Hills. They don’t send them to Boulder, they don’t send them to Fort Collins,” Recon continued.
“So the facts are that they are sending them to the black communities, which is a conflict of interest considering that since the cost of inflation has gone up, everything has become more expensive and people can’t even afford it anymore. for childcare.’

Cortney, another Aurora resident who lives 20 minutes from the apartment where the migrant gang’s activities were filmed, admitted that “all of Aurora has just gone downhill.”
She said the national spotlight on the local issue has been a positive development as gang activity has been going on for some time
But said the problem isn’t just specific to her city.
“Most of Colorado is overrun by homeless people, drugs and illegal aliens,” she added.
When asked if she had seen anything suspicious, Cortney said she had not seen anything firsthand, but had read a lot about it on social media.
Another Colorado resident, Jen, told DailyMail.com, “Well, I heard they’re taking over parts of Aurora. Oh, they’re in Denver too, but I hear they finance themselves by breaking into gun stores and jewelry stores.”
Aurora police have confirmed in recent weeks that a sporting goods store was robbed by “four Latino teenage men,” although police announcement did not specify whether or not they were migrants or involved in TDA.
According to the Justice Department, several Venezuelan migrants, including a suspected TDA member, robbed a jewelry store in Denver under fire over the summer.
‘During the robbery, suspects pointed guns at employees, hit several employees with their weapons and took a large amount of gold and jewelry. The suspects were later located in the El Paso, Texas area DOJ memo said.

“They are absolutely taking over the apartment buildings,” lifelong Colorado resident Mark told DailyMail.com, citing the now-viral video as evidence.
He lives in Bennett, Colorado, and he revealed that people in his town were afraid to go to Aurora because of the reports.
‘Everyone talks about it. They won’t go in that area, you know? I mean, they’re afraid to go there.”
“The less I have to come into town, the better off I am,” he said.

Frederick of Windsor, Colorado said the claims have been largely confirmed.
“There were migrants, there were people of Venezuelans in the apartments, we all saw the video,” he told DailyMail.com. “Whether they’re gang members or not, who knows, but they’re guys with long guns walking around intimidating residents.”
‘The gang members asked for keys that could be copied [residents] to pay them instead of paying it to the landlords,” he continued.
He wasn’t sure how many TDA members were involved, but he was confident at least a few were part of the group.
‘It’s not really a mystery. And so whether their apartments are taken over, I don’t know what it is, but that there are people who are afraid that this would not happen.’
