Jets’ Haason Reddick hired ‘black-gloved men’ to intimidate business partner over $1.6m agreement, claims lawsuit
The New York Jets reportedly cheated Haason Reddick out of $1.6 million from a business associate after he hired a group of “men in black gloves” to intimidate him.
Reddick, who has yet to play or practice with the Jets since being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles in April amid a contract dispute, has been sued by Micah Khan of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, reports the New York Post.
The 30-year-old NFL linebacker ventured into healthcare in 2018 when he bought Haven Home Health Agency, but left his father Raymond Matthews and Matthews’ ex-wife Tia Wright in charge of the company while he focused on his work. football career.
However, in 2021, his health organization failed because Matthews and Wright had “no experience” in this area, Khan’s lawsuit alleges.
Khan, owner of Kingdom Health Services, claims he was hired by Reddick to take over Haven’s marketing and business development, with the agreement that he would receive half of the proceeds if he were successful in selling the company.

And that, his lawsuit alleges, was exactly what he did after transforming Haven into “a highly successful company, with a fully trained workforce and a large revenue stream.”
Khan sold the company to MNH Pa in April. Home Care Acquisitions for $3.25 million, meaning he was contractually entitled to approximately $1.6 million.
But according to his lawsuit, when the healthcare investor asked for his share of the proceeds, he was threatened by Matthews “allegedly at the behest of Mr. Reddick.”
‘Sir. Matthews brought more than a dozen men wearing black gloves to a business meeting, claiming they were “Haason’s personal security,” Khan said in the lawsuits.
“At this post-sale meeting, Mr. Matthews made it clear [they] intended to breach their payment obligations to the Kingdom.’
DailyMail.com has contacted Haven Home Health Agency and the New York Jets for comment. Reddick currently has no personal representation after being fired by Creative Artists Agency this week.
In addition to his legal dispute, the former Eagles star’s NFL career is in limbo due to his impasse with the Jets.

Reddick was traded to New York this offseason under the belief that the move would bring a contract extension.
No such deal has been offered and he has decided to stay home until he gets more money.
This reportedly cost him almost $800,000 for every game he misses, as he was scheduled to make $14.25 million this season.
As noted by ESPN’s Adam Schefter last month he was already fined more than $5 million – fines imposed by the league’s collective bargaining agreement.
Reddick’s camp has steadfastly stuck to its no-pay, no-play stance, but Jets owner Woody Johnson hopes a change in leadership after the firing of head coach Robert Saleh this week will convince him otherwise.
‘I hope the young man can come to the team. We would like to have Haason here,” Johnson said.
‘We would welcome him with open arms. I’ll extend that. And I haven’t spoken to (interim head coach) Jeff (Ulbrich) yet, but I think he would feel exactly the same way.”
