A Boiling Point drama series has been announced by the BBC, following the success of Stephen Graham’s 2021 film.

Production will begin early next year, and the five-part installment will act as a sequel, taking place six months after the original story ended.

Vinette Robinson’s character, Carly, will become the head chef of her own restaurant, while many other cast members will reprise their roles, including Stephen and his company Matriarch Productions.

Boiling Point was based on a 2019 short film starring Stephen and followed a similar story at London’s Jones & Sons restaurant on the last Friday before Christmas.

Stephen recently starred in the ITV series, The Walk-In, which depicts the shocking true story of a far-right extremist who bought a Roman knife to slaughter a Labor MP after studying the murder of Jo Cox.

Far-right pedophile Jack Renshaw bought a 19-inch replica Roman sword and announced his plans to assassinate West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper as part of a ‘white jihad’ in a Warrington pub in July 2017.

The then 23-year-old, from Skelmersdale in Lancashire, also threatened to kill Detective Victoria Henderson, who was investigating him for tending to two young boys. His plans were later foiled by a whistleblower.
