How long does it take to beat Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Metaphor: ReFantazio belongs to the makers behind it Person 3, 4 And 5. Since those high school Japanese RPGs were all epic affairs, you might be wondering how long it will take to beat this new original fantasy RPG, which has a similar structure and different gameplay elements. The answer is that it’s a pretty long game, although not that long Person 5given the calendar timeline that the story’s Royal Tournament covers, it’s not as long as two school semesters.

Below, see how long it took to beat Metaphor: ReFantaziowhich will also include a lot of the optional content that will take up your schedule in addition to the story missions.

How long do you have to beat Metaphor: ReFantazio?

It brought me full circle 80 hours to clear up the whole story Metaphor. This time will likely vary for you depending on whether you struggle with some of the tough bosses and whether you choose to lower the difficulty. But 80 hours is representative of a typical playthrough of Metaphorwho is responsible for the side content, but also for watching all dialogues and cutscenes.

Thanks to the game’s calendar structure, you’ll always have time between completing a story dungeon and dealing with side content that can improve your Royal Virtues (such as Eloquence), improve your relationship with Followers, or complete optional dungeons and side quests to gain more experience and rewards. I was able to complete the game by maxing out my Royal Virtues and Followers and completing all but a few of the optional challenges.

What happens after beating Metaphor: ReFantazio?

There’s no post-game when you’re finally done Metaphor but you can save your erased data, allowing you to launch New Game Plus, which will carry over some progress from your previous playthrough. These include equipment, money, MAG and Archetype ranks, but party member and follower levels are reset. While you should have enough time to complete all of the side content on your first playthrough, New Game Plus is recommended if you want to unlock and master every single archetype.
