Father of Savana Calvo breaks down in tears as he farewells his daughter for the last time – after the model was found dead in a Sydney pub
The shattered loved ones of a former model who died at a popular brewery have gathered to say their final goodbyes to the young woman.
Savana Calvo, 27, died suddenly in a bathroom at Young Henrys Brewery, in Sydney’s west, on the night of September 25.
Hundreds of friends and relatives gathered at St Mark’s Church in Darling Point on Friday to pay tribute to Ms Calvo at an emotional service.
Her father, Daniel, and brother James both shared their praises for Savana, while a video of Ms. Calvo as an eight-year-old singing Miley Cyrus’ The Climb also played.
Daniel said his family was “devastated” as “we try to find meaning in what happened to his beloved daughter.”
He described Savana as the “coolest girl on the block” and said she “lighted up” the lives of everyone who knew her.
βI love you more than words can say,β David said, choking back tears.
‘Life will never be the same again. We all grow old, but they don’t. As short as it was, her legacy will live on. Rest in peace, my love. We will never forget you.’

James described his sister’s many talents, which he described as a “triple threat.”
βShe was gifted in the arts, especially drawing, singing and writing,β he said.
βShe was athletically gifted, the most of the three siblings.
‘And as you can see, she was beautiful too.
“She could have been a top athlete, artist, musician or top model.”
James said Savana had a lot of energy, a beautiful smile, laugh and “absolutely sass, which she had a lot of.”
‘She was also passionate about helping others work through their difficulties and problems. It’s like it gave her purpose,β he said.
‘When I had an accident a while ago and ended up in hospital, she was the first to support me.’
He concluded by saying, βI love you so much, my little sister, it’s not goodbye forever, it’s just goodbye for now.β

Pastor David Crain reassured family and friends that they probably wondered if they could have done more to help Savana, but “no, there was nothing you could do.”
Shattered mother Tatjana struggled to hold herself together as her daughter was taken away for the final time in a coffin covered in pink and white flowers.
A family friend previously told Daily Mail Australia that Savana had fallen on hard times in the months leading up to her death.
Mystery surrounded her death at Young Henrys, where she was found in a bathroom at 11.30pm on September 25. more than four hours after the pub closed.

NSW Police said her death was not being treated as suspicious, but an investigation was continuing into the circumstances leading up to it.
A car accident she had with her ex-boyfriend in February last year left her with serious injuries and forced her to use a cane.
She was a passenger in a Subaru Forester when another vehicle ran a red light and crashed into it, sending it spinning out of control into a brick wall.
A GoFundMe had raised more than $35,000 for the family to help with funeral and memorial costs.
