Jimmy Kimmel slams Donald Trump’s ‘brazen hypocrisy’ over latest sales endeavor
Late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel criticized Donald Trump this week for his “brazen hypocrisy” after he claimed a product sold by the Republican presidential candidate was made in China.
During his show’s monologue on Wednesday night, Kimmel, 56, informed viewers that despite Trump, 78, constantly criticizing China, the Bibles he sells to his supporters for nearly $60 are actually produced in East Asia.
“You’re going to think I made this up,” Kimmel began. “But you know how Trump likes to complain about how China is taking our jobs and pulling us over when it comes to trade, and he’s going to hit them with tariffs and tariffs so we can buy Americans? Well, guess where those God Bless the USA Bibles he sells are made?”
The comedian continued, “Think about it. That’s right, in China! Trump is charging $59.99 for Chinese Bibles that say ‘God Bless the USA’ on them, it’s unbelievable. The brutality, the blatant hypocrisy… I know it shouldn’t be shocking anymore [but] somehow it still is.”
Kimmel then added, “And Mr. USA has a lot of Trump products that are made in China. I will present them to you tomorrow evening. We took a little trip and picked up a few things.”

Last month it emerged that Trump had launched a new branded watch sale in the final weeks of his presidential campaign.
The businessman, who has also been selling gold sneakers and NFTs this election campaign, announced “my new Trump watches” on Truth Social on September 25.
The “Trump Victory Tourbillon” watch he is selling contains 200 grams of gold and “more than 100 genuine diamonds” – with a price to match, selling for $100,000 each. It’s unclear if this is one of the other products Kimmel was referring to.
The TV star’s comments come just weeks after The View host Ana Navarro mocked Trump’s wife Melania, 54, in a scathing social media post after the former First Lady promoted a $600 gold vermeil necklace for sale is on her personal website.
A description of the piece reads: ‘Vote Freedom is a limited edition gold vermeil necklace honoring Lady Liberty with the option of a digital collectible.’ Ana was quick to mock Donald Trump’s wife.
On Instagram, Ana, 52, posted a video promoting the chain and captioned it: “Oh my God. Like really. Oh my God. Add a $600 necklace to the $90 Christmas decorations, the memoir book, and the piece-of-s**t NFTs. Oh, and the $250,000 to speak to gay Republicans.
“In fact, the only time Melania shows her face is to get money out of poor losers. Seriously, how can people who are supposedly so rich be so stingy? What’s she going to sell next…nipple rings?’ Ana continued.
“This woman should be First Lady of Home Shopping Network. #tasteless. Meanwhile, Doug Emhoff works his heart out for free because he loves his wife and his country. Imagine!’ she added, referring to Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband.

Ana’s 797,000 followers were quick to comment on the post, as one said: ‘Ana, you never stop making fun of me! Keep it real!’
Another joked: ‘This is her BE BEST, BE TACKY initiative,’ while a third Instagram user claimed: ‘How cheap is that? Just looking at it, it looks like it came out of one of those claw machines.”
Someone else commented: ‘You’re kidding me! I feel sad for those who fall for this tackiness,” while another person added, “Everything about them is just absurd…”
When Melania promoted the jewelry on her own Instagram page, the scathing comments continued as one person wrote: ‘Omgggg trying to cash in before she stops being relevant to EVERYONE. This is ridiculously hilarious.”
Another person accused said: “Melanie is in on the scam,” and a third added: “Dang. You’re also just a scammer. Now we see the appeal.”
Someone else scoffed: ‘These things look cheaper by the minute. How awful,” and another person wrote: “This is embarrassing.”
