Miranda continued, “So I decided that I was going to practice not hiding myself and my natural emotions. I would make myself vulnerable to create the most honest connection possible.

She said: ‘I’m married, I got married at 51 and it’s just so beautiful! I had written Gary for Miranda on screen and it wasn’t until I was 49 that I met my person,” but insisted she keep her husband’s identity a secret.
