Reba McEntire, 69, gushes about finding ‘love of her life’ Rex Linn after two divorces
Reba McEntire affectionately called her partner, Rex Linn, the “love of her life” as she opened up about their nearly five-year relationship after two divorces.
The Heart Won’t Lie singer, 69 – who is currently a judge on competition series The Voice – opened up about their romance during an interview with We weekly which was published on Wednesday.
McEntire and Linn currently star together in the upcoming NBC sitcom Happy’s Place, premiering later this month on October 18.
The star – who started dating the CSI: Miami actor, 67, in 2020 – opened up about her happiness, saying: ‘I have two great jobs. I have the love of my life, Rex Linn.”

Reba also opened up about their “dynamic” when they’re not on camera, telling the outlet that they are “best friends.”
‘We have the same likes and dislikes. We are foodies. We love cooking. We both wanted to be a cowboy and a cowgirl. Then we got into the entertainment world. Our dynamic works both on and off screen.”
She also opened up about working with Linn, explaining, “We love acting. We want to be prepared. So he and I rehearse a lot. We made a Lifetime movie together. We did Big Sky on ABC.”
“We’ve both been on Young Sheldon, and now we’re doing Happy’s Place together, so we’re getting really serious with rehearsals and we definitely know our dialogue. To have fun and feel comfortable with dialogue, you need to know it. We are working hard on that.’
But when the couple, who first crossed paths in 1991, were not on set, Reba revealed they enjoy watching a good game of college football.

McEntire has been married twice, marrying Charlie Battles in 1976, but they divorced in 1987. Two years later, she married Narvel Blackstock, but the former couple separated in 2015.
On how her current relationship with Rex has “changed” her, the singer said, “I think we’ve made each other better.”

She continued, “He says it’s his homework, watching other actors and learning from them. I do it for pure enjoyment. We’re currently streaming The Penguin.’
Reba then opened up about whether she would get married again in the future, telling Us Weekly, “It doesn’t matter to me. I’m fine with the way we are.’
“If Rex ever wants to get married, we’ll talk about it, but I’m fine. I love our relationship 100 percent.’
McEntire also shared the secret of their relationship, saying, “I have his back, and he has mine. That is very important. I feel very safe with Rex.’
The Reba actress and Rex first crossed paths in 1991 when they were on the set of the film The Gambler Returns: The Luck Of The Draw.
The pair reconnected years later and in October 2020, the actress revealed she was dating Linn Podcast Living & Learning.
‘It’s good to have someone to talk to, laugh with and delve into what’s going on. Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him as an actor, me as an actress,” she said at the time.

‘And he really likes my music. I am very interested in his career,” McEntire added. ‘Whatever happens in the future, we are very stable. I’m looking forward to having more things to look forward to.”
And later that same year, the couple made their red carpet debut when they attended the CMA Awards.
While on Today in 2021, Reba explained, “Rex and I have known each other since ’91 when we were in the movie The Gambler with Kenny Rogers, and after that we knew each other and kept in touch.”
She revealed that Rex called her when her mother, Jacqueline McEntire, fell ill and was also by her side after her mother’s death.
“We’d seen each other before because we were both in Young Sheldon. So from March 2020 we kept talking and visiting and finally got together, see you in June. And we’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since.”
Linn has also appeared on her Instagram page since the pair struck up a romance four years ago.

Ahead of the show’s release and amid her role as a judge on The Voice, Reba opened up about how she’s stayed “grounded” throughout her successful career.

The star later responded to speculation that she would not return to The Voice after the 26th season.
