Tardy Travis Kelce keeps Taylor Swift waiting on the runway for nearly an hour in Kansas City before loved-up couple fly to the East Coast
She is the biggest pop star in the world and not someone who is used to having to wait.
But Taylor Swift was forced to spend nearly an hour on the runway Tuesday night after the late Travis Kelce showed up late for their private flight.
DailyMail.com caught a glimpse of the world’s hottest couple boarding a swanky Gulfstream plane bound for the East Coast. But the escape didn’t go according to plan as Taylor and her father Scott boarded the plane at 6:05 p.m., while the Chiefs tight end didn’t show up in his Hummer until 7 p.m.
The nervous NFL star then tried to drive the massive EV onto the ramp, only to find the gate was locked. Finally, a member of Swift’s armed security entourage was able to take him to the $61 million plane, and the red-faced Kelce stormed up the stairs.
They left just as his brother Jason drove to the same airport in the Kansas City area to fly to Philadelphia.

The Chiefs are on a bye week, so Kelce won’t be allowed to practice again until the team begins preparing for the Oct. 20 game with the 49ers. He had spent the day entertaining Swift at his sprawling Kansas City mansion after she and Scott flew in to watch the Saints game 24 hours earlier.

The Bad Blood singer raised eyebrows when she failed to show up when Travis celebrated her 35th birthday on Saturday by hosting a car festival followed by a private dinner.
But her arrival at the game was widely expected after he revealed she was coming to town while chatting with VIP guests at his Kelce Car Jam event.
At least Travis got to celebrate with his nearest and dearest, with the entire Kelce clan in attendance, including Donna, dad Ed, Jason and his wife Kylie. Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany also roared in a $500,000 Ferrari 812 Supercar — one of several expensive motorcycles on parade at Saturday night’s block party.
Proceeds went to Kelce’s 87 & Running Foundation, which raises money for needy children in Kansas City and Cleveland. The family then all headed to downtown Kansas City for a private afterparty at the chic Aristocrat Lounge above the Midland Theater.
Donna shared a sweet conversation with DailyMail.com when we asked her what she bought Travis for his birthday. “I can’t tell you because I’m giving it to him after Monday’s game,” she chuckled before hopping into a limo to head back to her hotel.

There was speculation all week that Taylor was heading to Kansas City, while rumors swirled that she rented a popular barbecue restaurant for a celebration ahead of her birthday on Wednesday night. However, there have been no confirmed sightings of the singer, who has gone to great lengths to mask her flight details and whereabouts since the thwarted terror attack at her concert in Vienna in August.
Swift also wasn’t there to see the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 17-10 last Sunday. But according to a well-placed source, her absence wasn’t an indication that her romance with Kelce was cooling down: Swift simply doesn’t see much of her boyfriend when he’s playing away games.
If they come to home games alone, they can instead enjoy some quiet time in Kelce’s ultra-private home, which is surrounded by tall trees and shrubs and only accessible through a 24-hour security gate.
Located on the manicured grounds of a gated community and away from the public, it is the perfect retreat for quiet dates, dinners and movie nights. Kelce and Swift went out unnoticed late last month when upscale Kansas City eatery Noka was reportedly closed to the public so they could enjoy an intimate catch-up.
According to Deux Moi, “The restaurant claimed it was closed for maintenance, but it’s the same restaurant where Britanny Mahomes had her birthday dinner not too long ago.”

That followed a bumpy period for Kelce and Swift, who recently celebrated making their romance official with the anniversary of the singer’s first public appearance at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24.
Just a few weeks earlier, they were forced to defend themselves against accusations that the entire relationship was a PR sham, following an alleged leak of documents allegedly from Kelce’s public relations.
Full Scope PR retained attorneys to “initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and harmful falsification of documents,” which appeared to provide a comprehensive strategy for Swift and Kelce’s impending breakup, with even the date of the alleged event was mentioned on September 18th. .
Three days after the leak, they attended the US Open, where they turned heads with their very public displays of affection while rocking out to The Darkness’ ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’.
On the field, Kelce has had a poor season thus far, leaving fans and pundits wondering if his numerous off-field activities are a distraction.

Former ESPN analyst Todd McShay is one who expressed his belief that the star is out of shape after focusing on Swift, rather than training, in the offseason.
McShay recently didn’t mince his words on The Ryen Russillo Podcast. “Every show I watch, every pregame show, halftime show, postgame show, midweek show, every broadcast I watch over the last few weeks, it’s like we’re not allowed to say he’s out of shape, he’s been partying all season ? he said.
“He’s with the most famous person probably in the entire world, drinking, going to the US Open…take a 2022 preseason photo and then take a 2024 preseason photo, they’re hardly the same human being.”
