John Symond, the founder of Aussie Home Loans, arrived in Sydney on Friday after catching a commercial flight.

The billionaire proved he was a true everyman when he swapped a private jet for a passenger plane and arrived at the international terminal.

John, 76, was seen passing through the arrival gate like everyone else, despite the wealthy businessman recently selling his $200 million Point Piper mansion.

The mortgage mogul wore a plain white shirt and black trousers, while carrying a black sweater on one arm.

The billionaire was all smiles as he made his way through the arrival gates.

The sighting comes just months after John reportedly moved to the south of France to nurse his broken heart following his split from wife Amber McDonald.

The Australian entrepreneur divorced his ex, 52, at the end of last year and then decided to leave the country.

When he put his exclusive Sydney mansion up for sale earlier this year for a record $200 million, John was said to be “devastated” by the divorce. The Sunday Telegraph.

John put the Wingadal mansion up for sale after buying the four-storey home in 1999 and spending eight years converting it into the spectacular home it is today.

The couple, who started dating in 2011 and tied the knot in 2016, are said to have had a “strained relationship” in the past but are now doing better than ever following their divorce.

The Daily Telegraph reported that John’s daughter Deborah continues to have a good relationship with her stepmother Amber, with the pair said to be ‘the closest thing to them’. [have] ever been’.
