Organizer Nasser Mashni addressed demonstrators outside the State Library.

“There are a lot of agitators trying to get you to say something you might regret, which will hurt our movement. Ignore fascists,” he said.

‘Embrace all that we are, we are a movement of love. A movement of inclusivity. A movement of belonging. If you have any hatred here, you don’t belong here.’

“But if you don’t, you can expect to be arrested. It’s that simple. There will be no tolerance for misconduct. There will be no tolerance for racist comments, no tolerance whatsoever from the New South Wales Police.

“We don’t want the war in the Middle East to play out on our streets in Sydney. That anger doesn’t belong here.’
