Laura Woods apologises after Tyson Fury makes X-rated comment live on TNT Sports about his upcoming rematch against Oleksandr Uysk

  • Tyson Fury will fight Oleksandr Uysk in their rematch on December 21 in Riyadh
  • Fury lost to Uysk by split decision in their first fight on May 18 earlier this year
  • On Saturday night, Fury was in Liverpool to witness Nick Ball’s victory over Ronny Rios

Tyson Fury was interviewed by TNT Sports during Saturday night’s live coverage of the WBA featherweight title fight between Nick Ball and Ronny Rios.

Fury was at the event in Liverpool to watch cousin Walter Fury fight Dale Arrowsmith on the undercard.

After watching Walter win that fight, Tyson was brought into the TNT Sports studio to preview the main event, where Ball ultimately stopped Rios in round 10.

But Fury was also asked about his next fight. The 36-year-old is currently preparing for his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, who defeated him via split decision in May.

That was the first loss of Fury’s professional career, but he will get the chance to avenge it on December 21.

Fury sounded confident, but he also used some rather colorful language, prompting an apology from TNT Sports host Laura Woods.

Asked by Woods if getting older and wiser would change his style, Fury replied: “I’ve always been a bad man all my life and I still am now, at almost 40 years old. A few years after forty, but still, I like to say that, it sounds more.

“I’m going in there with destruction mode, though. The last time I went to box him, I was cautious. I knocked his head off, let’s talk about the facts. Anyone can get caught, as we’ve seen in many of these heavyweight fights. But this time I’m not going for a points decision. I’m going to knock a motherfucker out. I’m not even sure you can say that on TNT.”

Boxing expert Steve Bunce replied: ‘I think you said it!’

Woods then interjected, adding, “It may be beyond the watershed, but I should probably apologize for the fact that a few people watched if that offended you. But it’s Tyson Fury, so maybe you’ll get a bit of that after all.’
