Melania Trump’s explains the real reason she swatted Donald’s hand away during trip to Israel in new book

Melania Trump has explained the real reason why she swatted away husband Donald Trump’s hand during a trip to Israel.

The moment at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport caused a media frenzy after it occurred in May 2017.

The video at the time showed Melania Trump clearly batted his hand away as he walked half a step behind him and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara.

But now that Melania has dismissed the speculation, the gesture was indicative of the state of her marriage and attributed to logistical issues.

“The red carpet simply couldn’t accommodate four of us next to each other,” she wrote in an excerpt obtained by the New York Times. “It was a small, innocent gesture, nothing more.”

The incident was discussed by the former First Lady as part of her memoir, Melania, which will be published on October 8.

The book details some of the controversies she endured during her husband’s tenure.

This includes a fashion faux pas the former First Lady made by wearing a jacket with the slogan: “I really don’t care, do you?” while visiting migrant children in Texas.

In her book, Melania explains that the message was intended as a barb against the media, which she accused of distorting stories.

The former First Lady explained that she had personally lobbied her husband to end his policy of splitting families at the southern border, which had led to the detention of thousands of migrant children.

“The government should not take children away from their parents,” she remembers telling him. ‘This has got to stop.’

One of the biggest revelations was her affirmation of the right to abortion, which stands in contrast to Trump’s conservative position.

“A woman’s fundamental right to individual freedom over her own life gives her the power to terminate her pregnancy if she so chooses,” she wrote.

“Restricting a woman’s right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is like denying her control over her own body.”

However, she appears to hold views similar to her husband’s on most other issues, including criticizing the validity of the 2020 election results.

“You can’t just keep counting votes for days, and that’s exactly what they did,” she wrote, which seems to explain her lack of conviction for the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol.

She also speaks about more personal topics, such as the impact of rumors that her son Barron Trump has autism, which were fueled by Trump critic Rosie O’Donnell in 2016.

Melania flatly denied the claims and spoke of her pain at her son being dragged into the spotlight.

“There is nothing shameful about autism (although O’Donnell’s tweet suggested there was), but Barron is not autistic,” she wrote, according to an excerpt on the newspaper’s website. Daily beast.

“I was shocked by so much cruelty,” Melania continues. ‘It was clear to me that she was not interested in raising awareness about autism. I felt like she attacked my son because she didn’t like my husband.”

Melania has often tried to maintain some privacy from her family and has taken a back seat to her husband’s campaign until now.

Trump previously told DailyMail.com that his wife cares deeply about the country, but that he is reluctant to put her or anyone in his family on stage given the two attempts on his life.

‘It’s not as annoying for the Democrats as it is for me. And I would like my family not to have to go there and see the things that you know are happening,” he said.
