Father-of-three shot by police in Wentworthville after MPs car was stolen unlikely to fully recover – as his mother demands answers
A man allegedly driving a stolen car belonging to the husband of a Labor MP has been left permanently injured after he and another man were shot at by police.
Father-of-three Brendon Liebe was shot in the head in Sydney’s west on Friday when police opened fire on an allegedly stolen car he and another man were in as it drove towards them.
Karen McKeown, the state member for Penrith, called police when she realized her house had been broken into and her husband Brendan’s car was missing earlier that morning.
Police followed the car’s tracking device to a parking lot beneath an apartment building on Lane Street in Wentworthville, where they allegedly found the men in the vehicle.
