Iconic rocker, 79, who dated Davina McCall and has almost 100 singles to his name, shared a new photo from an American restaurant on Instagram on Friday – but can YOU guess who it is?
It’s Eric Clapton!
He kept his now gray locks hidden under a beige bucket hat.
Eric – who has received 18 Grammy Awards as well as the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music – wore a casual look consisting of a black jacket over a blue button-down shirt and a gray top.
He wore several silver rings and appeared cheerful as he smiled at the camera with a cup of coffee.
The rock singer captioned the photo, “Eric Clapton’s new album Meanwhile is now available on all digital platforms! Listen now via the link in bio.
‘January 24 on vinyl + CD.’
Eric’s new album features collaborations with Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Bradley Walker, Judith Hill, Daniel Santiago and Simon Climie.

He once dated TV presenter Davina McCall (pictured together in 1992)
Speaking about the release date of Meanwhile, he told Blues Rock Review: ‘I had to fight to get out because it was going to be postponed until next year.’
Eric added, “It’s basically a collection of the things I’ve done over the last three or four years that we’ve done at home. I played guitar with a drum machine or a click.
“Then it was sent to LA where Nathan (East) would play bass and Sonny (Emory) would be in Atlanta playing drums.
“And all these things were forced on us by the governments that wouldn’t let us play together, so I thought, let’s get it all out. It’s called Meanwhile and it’s fun. It’s good stuff.’
He continued, “It’s a little bit inhibited because it’s all recorded at home, but I have to get it out there. We’ll try some of those songs (on tour), but it’s more likely that I’ll be playing things that we know full well the audience expects to hear.”
Eric started his music career in the early 1960s busking and playing in small pubs.
He then joined the blues band The Yardbird and enjoyed success with the hit ‘For Your Love’ before leaving.
The star then gained wider recognition as part of the band Cream, and quickly became known as one of Britain’s best guitarists.
After the band split in 1968, Eric began working on solo music.
His debut album, Eric Clapton, was released in 1970 and peaked at number 14 in the UK charts.
Since releasing his first album, the popular guitarist has released another 19 solo albums.
He is known for hits such as Layla, Wonderful Tonight and Tears in Heaven, and was ranked number two on the Rolling Stone 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time list.
