Self-proclaimed ‘rich’ Love Is Blind star leaves viewers convinced he’s a paid actor after constantly bragging about his inherited wealth

Love is Blind star Leo Braudy has left viewers in disbelief after he repeatedly bragged about his inherited wealth in Netflix’s recently released seventh season – with some so shocked by his lack of awareness that they think he is a fake contestant .

The 30-year-old art dealer, who lost both his parents and grandparents to cancer, often shared his fear that women would use him for money instead of building a real relationship in episode one of the new series.

He also described himself as “rich” and “financially well-off” in several conversations with his co-stars.

In his confessional, Leo confessed: ‘I am an art dealer. It is a family business. I own the house now and eventually inherited it, but one of my biggest insecurities is that a girl only wants me for money.”

He went on to talk about his wealth in the male living quarters.

“So I’m an art dealer,” he said. “I grew up with the business and everything, and I inherited it quite young.

‘My grandfather got cancer and died. My grandmother got cancer and died. My mother got cancer and died. My father got cancer and my stepfather got cancer. And all that in three years, and I’m an only child.’

Leo then went on to reveal his luxurious early start in life.

“I grew up very wealthy financially,” he said. “I’m not trying to build a career as an influencer, I’m a rich damn art….” [sic]

“I went to a country club, I went to a private school, I went to college, I’m incredibly fortunate financially, but I’d much rather have my problem than the problem of not having enough money.

“It’s a really big happiness problem to have, but it’s scary because a girl often…does she want me because I’m an art dealer?”

But the topic of money didn’t stop there, as Leo also brought up the subject during a date with Brittany Wisniewski.

“Because of all these family tragedies, I got an inheritance,” he revealed.

‘I got it all at once, relatively young. I’m not trying to say I’m sorry, but the company I inherited is doing quite well.’

He continued, “What I’m most insecure about is if she wants me because of my job and because of the money I was blessed with.

“While we would be married, I would also need the assurance that if we broke up tomorrow and all my money disappeared, if a hurricane came and destroyed all art, you would be there with me.”

Naturally, all his talk about money irritated viewers at home, who flooded social media with comments

On X, someone said, “I’m sorry, but Leo is 100 percent an actor. There’s no way he’s behaving like that in real life.”

Another wrote: “Maybe Leo wouldn’t have to worry about people using him for his money if every other sentence didn’t come out of his mouth.”

A third added: ‘Why is Leo still talking about how rich he is? This way you end up with a woman who wants value for your money.’

“If I hear Leo say he’s rich one more time and also that he doesn’t like talking about the fact that he’s rich, I’m going to break this damn TV!” a fourth hit.

On Instagram, another questioned his authenticity.

“He can’t really be serious, he has to be a paid actor,” one person wrote. “He definitely doesn’t brag about his money.”

Another agreed, saying: ‘My exact thought.’

A third added: “We get it Leo, you’re rich.”

On the show, Leo proposed to beautician Brittany, but the couple was not chosen by the producers to move on to the honeymoon phase and their trip in front of the cameras was cut short.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Brittany said she wasn’t “surprised” to be removed from the series as she believes they were the “weakest link.”

“I didn’t say I loved him, even though everyone else did,” she said. “And that just wasn’t something I could just say because it just didn’t feel right at the time. I wasn’t in love with him.

‘It didn’t surprise me that we weren’t making any progress on the trip to Mexico, and we were doing our own thing. And of course you build such a strong friendship with all the girls, so it was disappointing.”
