In addition to Kelce’s acting talents, Ed’s flirty nature caused a firestorm of comments on social media as users labeled the role “sexy” during Kelce’s performance.

“WHOAHHHHH TRAVIS MICHAEL KELCE,” a third wrote, while a fourth suggested, “Listen…I’d be totally fine with Kelce calling me Detective Sassy Pants on the registry.”

‘This man can ACTION!!!!’ a fifth suggested with a photo of Kelce during one of his scenes.

‘For someone who is not an actor. Travis Kelce is doing really well in #Grotesquerie,” a sixth added, while another admitted he was “pleasantly surprised by Travis Kelce as an actor.”

‘Travis Kelce does a good job, I have to give him that. But what game is he trying to pull off? Lois, you’re a detective for a reason,” wrote an eighth user. ‘You know how to read people. Don’t trust Kelce, girl.”

Many other comments recognized the work Kelce did as his performance surprised fans.

Ed first appeared while Niecy Nash-Betts’ character, Detective Lois Tryon, was getting fresh air and lighting a cigarette.

Kelce’s character appeared to be a nurse at the hospital where Lois’ husband was in a coma. After finding her on a couch, Ed started sweet-talking the detective before she pulled out a bottle and started drinking. He warned her not to get in her car, but she continued driving after drinking.

In the next scene, Lois crashes her car into a pole and wakes up in the hospital with Ed as her nurse. She convinces him to sneak out of the hospital against her doctor’s orders, and he obliges.

The two held hands as they ran through the hospital hallways in slow motion, hopped into Ed’s red convertible and sped away to end Episode 3.

In the next episode, Ed jokingly admitted that he was a male entertainer in Alaska before he ended up in the hospital.

“I worked at a male strip club,” Kelce’s character said. “I shake it for horny moms coming off cruise ships. I rocked the banana hammock named Big Peter, and his banana split.”

Ed then reveals how he ended up on the streets and had ‘a long way to go’ from rock bottom.

“Long story short, I just lacked my dignity,” he told Lois. ‘I had to find things to live for. You, you have not lost your dignity. So don’t do it.’
