Katy Perry makes HUGE announcement after her blockbuster AFL Grand Final performance

The Australian love for Katy Perry continues to flow after her epic performance at the recent AFL Grand Final in Melbourne.

The Roar hitmaker, 39, took to social media on Thursday to announce even more shows for her ever-expanding 2025 Australian Lifetimes tour.

Sharing an updated image of her Down Under tour poster on Instagram, the American pop star revealed three new shows have been added to the schedule, with Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne the lucky cities to get an extra dose of the Teenage Dream star received.

The original run included just one show in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, but she added two additional shows in Sydney and Brisbane last week.

After receiving some pushback from Adelaide fans, Katy added a show in the City of Churches.

The demand for Katy in Adelaide was so high that the singer was asked to add two additional shows.

After they sold out, Katy added a fourth Adelaide date to the latest announcement.

Katy said the new dates would be the last added to her anticipated 2025 tour.

“I love you for life, Oz,” Katy wrote.

And it looks like the feeling is mutual, as Katy’s Adelaide fans were quick to thank the star for giving the city so much pop love.

“Adelaide will never forget this, we will love YOU for a lifetime,” one fan joked excitedly.

Adding to the sentiment, another fan chimed in, “Hopefully this shows other artists that Adelaide IS A PLACE TO TOUR.”

Given Katy’s current love affair with Australia, one fan suggested she just bite the bullet and move Down Under permanently.

“Honey, you might as well live here right now,” they wrote. ‘We love you.’

Katy’s Lifetimes tour kicks off at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on June 9 and 10 before moving to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on June 12, 13 and 14.

She will be at the Brisbane Entertainment Center on June 17 and 18 and then at the RAC Arena in Perth on June 22 and 23.

The tour concludes with a four-night stand at the Adelaide Entertainment Center from June 26 to June 30.

The announcement comes after Katy wowed the crowd at Melbourne’s MCG during her AFL Grand Final show on Saturday.

She was reportedly paid as much as $5 million to perform a pre-game performance during the finals.

Her 20-minute set included two songs from her latest album 143, Lifetimes and Beautiful, her collaboration with Kim Petras, after reports she had been restricted to just one new song by AFL bosses.

Despite the new songs being thrown in, it was the hits that got the crowd pumping as Katy got going with a rendition of Roar before unleashing her hits Teenage Dreams, Dark Horse and Firework.

Katy also performed a rendition of I Kissed A Girl with Tina Arena before the pair moved into a rendition of the Australian pop star’s hit Chains.

But she caused surprise with her setlist by not singing Hot n Cold, despite it being known as the MasterChef Australia theme song and jokingly regarded by many as the true Aussie ‘anthem’.
