Bank of America is experiencing a nationwide outage impacting tens of thousands of users.
Downdetector, a site that monitors online problems, shows that the problems occurred around 1:00 PM ET, as users reported that online and mobile banking services and ATMs are not working.
Some Bank of American customers have also reported that their accounts are showing empty balances.
As of 1:20 PM ET, approximately 20,000 Bank of America outages had been reported to Downdetector.

About 50 percent of problem reports mentioned problems with online banking, 41 percent mentioned mobile banking and only one percent of users reported problems with ATMs.
“Five accounts show zero balances, over $20,000,” a Bank of America customer shared on Downdetector.
Bank of America has not yet indicated what caused the outage, when services will be restored, or whether this incident will put users’ money at risk.
