A look inside George Clooney’s very exclusive VIP dinner party in NYC with wife Amal that raised over $500K for charity
George Clooney auctioned himself off for an “intimate” evening in New York City on September 24.
The event raised more than $500,000 for charity through Charitybuzz and DailyMail.com has the exclusive photos.
‘George was great, he was such a great host and spoke to everyone – he’s hilarious!’ a source told DailyMail.com. “He was incredibly charming.”
‘His wife Amal was there too and she was very nice, friendly and approachable, a real delight, everything you would expect from her.’
However, Amal was not photographed at the VIP event.
The lucky charity winner – who wished to remain anonymous – brought along a guest at the private cocktail event with the ER veteran, followed by dinner with another 20 people.
Guests included Ramona Brodsky, CEO of Charitybuzz Access (private members club), Ben Erwin, CEO of Charitybuzz, and Rory Tahari, partner at Tahari Capital.

It was called A good evening with George Clooney. And it was for a good cause: the money benefits the Clooney Foundation for Justice.
The intimate gathering of twenty high-level philanthropists took place at the home of Rory Tahari of Tahari Capital.
The event “highlighted the intersection of business leaders and philanthropy driving social impact,” according to a press release.
“The Clooney Foundation for Justice advocates justice for human rights abuses around the world,” a press release said.
“The foundation has multiple programs (TrialWatch, Waging Justice for Women and The Docket) that are committed to achieving justice for the most vulnerable people among us.”
It was an ‘intimate setting for a dinner party.’ White wine was served and there are red roses on the long dining table.
In addition to George and Amal Clooney, the private event brought together twenty philanthropists from the Charitybuzz community for “cocktails, dinner and conversations.”

This year’s Good Evening with George Clooney raised over half a million dollars for the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s Waging Justice for Women program.
