Megyn Kelly rips CBS moderators for VERY predictable move during VP debate: ‘How dare you’

Megyn Kelly blasted CBS debate moderators after they turned off JD Vance’s microphone during a “fact check” on Haitian migrant claims in Springfield, Ohio.

The conservative commentator and former Fox News host, 53, went to X to condemn the way moderators Margaret Brennan and Norah O’Donnell handled the debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz.

Despite CBS claiming there would be no fact-checking during the debate, Brennan fact-checked Vance’s comments about the Haitian migrants overwhelming the Ohio community.

Kelly gushed about the move, tweeting, “F you CBS – how DARE YOU.”

‘I tried to check the facts. JD put you in your place. You don’t let him fight you and you don’t let them debate,” she added.

The contentious moment between Brennan and Vance came when the debate turned to the migrant crisis and Vance made comments about an influx of Haitian migrants into Ohio.

The city of Springfield has been the focus of the 2024 presidential campaign for weeks after Vance and former President Donald Trump claimed migrants were “eating pets” there.

“Thank you Governor, and just to clarify, for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio has a large number of Haitian migrants who are in legal status, temporary protected status,” Brennan interjected.

Vance seemed surprised by the moderator’s interruption and replied, “Thanks, Margaret…

“The rules were that you weren’t going to fact-check and because you were fact-checking me, I think it’s important to say what’s really going on.”

He then argued that obtaining the specific immigration status that Brennan said was “legal, temporarily protected” was made much easier under the Biden administration.

Migrants, Vance said, could “gain legal status with the wave of a Kamala-Harris-open-border magic wand.”

“Thank you, Senator, for describing the legal process,” Brennan replied curtly.

Vance continued to talk, noting how “Kamala Harris opened that path,” when Walz joined in saying that “those laws have been on the book since 1990.”

However, when Vance tried to make another point, his voice suddenly became inaudible in the studio when CBS turned off his microphone.

“Gentlemen, the audience cannot hear you because your microphones are dead,” Brennan told them. “We have so much we want to accomplish.”

The moment came during the vice presidential debate between Vance and Walz, who discussed policy for two hours Tuesday evening.

When the topic turned to gun control, Walz raised eyebrows because it seemed like he was talking incorrectly about “making friends with school shooters.”

The blunder came as Walz revealed that his son Gus, 17, witnessed a shooting at a community center while playing volleyball.

Vance responded by saying he was shocked and offered his condolences, in a rare moment of bipartisanship.

“I don’t want my children to go to school at a school that feels unsafe… we need to increase safety in our schools,” Vance said. “I think Governor Walz and I probably agree that we need to do better in this area. The question is how we actually do it.’
