Ashleigh just wanted some downtime at a beach – until a disturbing act ruined her day

An Australian woman has issued an urgent warning after seeing a man commit a despicable act in public on a popular beach.

Ashleigh Blake was alone at Coolum Beach on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on September 18 when she spotted a man allegedly masturbating while watching her.

Ms Blake claimed to have recognized the man after seeing him naked on the beach near teenage girls during previous trips to the beach.

“I’m furious, yesterday I caught a man touching himself on the beach while looking at me,” she said TikTok users took to the platform in an expletive-ridden tirade a day later.

‘I look around and realize I’m the only one on the beach. I look up and he’s naked, he’s exposed himself and his cock is out and he’s jerking off while he’s looking at me.”

Ms Blake filmed the man in the middle of his dirty deed and has since handed the footage over to police.

She described the act as ‘disgusting’ and urged other women to speak out about similar incidents to raise awareness.

“I’m here to warn women, especially on the Sunshine Coast, men are bloody bastards,” Ms Blake said.

The video sparked a flood of comments from viewers condemning the man’s disgusting act.

The warning also prompted other women to share their own similar experiences.

“This happened to me and my friend at this exact location,” one viewer wrote.

Another added: “When you said Sunshine Coast my heart sank…I thought this kind of thing didn’t really happen here.”

A third wrote: ‘Had it happen to me three times as a teenager, all on different beaches and twice at a bus stop.’

Others said the issue was not limited to Australian beachgoers, and many posts elsewhere were flashed by men.

“This happened to me when I was 19 at a bus stop, alone at night, he had it off and kept walking in front of me so I would notice,” one viewer wrote.

“I pretended I didn’t know anything and ran to the servo across the road.”

Ms Blake and the man were the only people on Coolum Beach at the time (pictured) and reported the incident to police, who launched an investigation.

Another added: “This happened to me in Italy and Switzerland too, no place is safe,” said another.

Queensland Police have confirmed an investigation into the incident is underway.

“Police are investigating reports of an incident of indecent exposure… at Second Bay in Coolum Beach,” a spokeswoman said.

‘Initial investigations indicate that a man behaved indecently on the beach around 2 p.m.

‘He reportedly left the scene when confronted by a member of the public.’
