Ugly scenes as family of Natalie Galcsik who was allegedly murdered by her husband Steven clash outside their Pokolbin, Hunter Valley home

EXCLUSIVE

Tensions have flared outside the property where a mother of six was allegedly murdered by her husband – as the couple’s grieving son ordered his paternal grandmother to leave the premises on Tuesday morning.

Natalie Galcsik, 46, was allegedly run over several times by her husband Steven, 47, at their home in Pokolbin, in the Hunter Valley region of NSW, just after 6pm on Friday.

Steven has been refused bail, charged with domestic violence murder, while the couple’s adult son Alex, 20, is left to care for his four younger siblings.

Alex told Daily Mail Australia outside the family’s home on Tuesday that he and his younger siblings were “doing well” under the circumstances.

But as Alex was speaking, a truck with a white sedan arrived at the property – the location of the family’s luxury bed and breakfast.

Moments later, the woman, believed to be Alex’s paternal grandmother, Victoria Galcsik, arrived at the house in a blue 4WD and tried to talk to him.

“You have to leave or I’ll call the police,” Alex told her as soon as she got out of the car.

‘I don’t want to talk about it. I’m fine. I want you to leave.’

He continued, “I’m sorry, but I have to take care of my family.”

When contacted by Daily Mail Australia, the woman declined to answer questions about her son or the charges.

After leaving the property, she was seen inspecting a nearby $1.49 million property for sale in Pokolbin.

Daily Mail Australia understands Victoria and Steven had a tumultuous relationship, with records showing the pair have been embroiled in a civil lawsuit against each other in recent years.

The Galcsik family ran the luxury bed and breakfast business for seven years after purchasing the 40-acre property for $1.45 million in 2017.

Detectives are investigating whether the Galcsiks – who had no record of domestic violence – were struggling with marital problems in the lead-up to her death.

Police will allege Steven ran over his wife several times before family members physically intervened and called emergency services.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Natalie died at the scene. Steven was arrested at the property and faced Newcastle Local Court on Saturday where he was refused bail.

An AVO application has been filed between Galcsik and his adult son, who will appear at Cessnock Local Court next month.

According to online reports, Ms. Galcsik was a horse enthusiast who was a member of the region’s equestrian community.

She also loved dogs and was interested in spirituality and holistic wellness practices, such as Reiki.

Alex has remembered his mother as a wonderful mother who was devoted to her six children.

“My mother dedicated her life to raising myself and my siblings with selflessness and love, despite difficult circumstances,” he wrote in the GoFundMe.

“She was the best mother we could have asked for.”

Another friend described Natalie as a wonderful person and said she was heartbroken for her five children.

“Anyone who knew Natalie and her wonderful children would know how kind and selfless she was,” the friend said.

Steven was back in court on Monday, where he was again denied bail.

He is due to face his next showdown at Newcastle Local Court on November 27.
