Brisbane’s AFL premiership celebrations have kicked off for the third day in a row, with Lions stars pulling out hilarious costumes for their Mad Monday festivities.

The victory celebrations continued on Monday after their grand final victory over the Swans, with players celebrating at a Brisbane pub in the West End.

Harris Andrews showed up early on in a bizarre outfit that made it look like he was being carried around by an alien.

The Lions co-captain brought home the premiership trophy and stepped out with grand final hero Cam Rayner, who was dressed as an angry nun after scoring the most spectacular result of the day against Sydney.

Jaspa Fletcher showed up smiling in a frog onesie, while Carter Michael and Henry Smith arrived in blue and white striped pajamas as famous Australian children’s TV characters B1 and B2.

Will McLachlan and Noah Answerth arrived dressed as cartoon duo Rick and Morty, while Luke Lloyd and Reece Torrent came as the Super Mario Bros.

Co-captain Lachie Neale arrived at the venue like himself – and noticeably not wearing the moon boot he wore on Sunday to help him recover from a serious heel injury.

Neale said he heard a blow to his foot during the decider and was concerned he could have broken his plantar fascia, leaving him facing a long recovery process.

Midfielder Josh Dunkley told the media that he had been partying hard since Sunday.

“Can’t beat it, incredible feeling,” he told the station Herald Sun.

“The last few nights I’ve probably gotten six hours of sleep.”

Zac Bailey appeared as Spider-Man, while Tom Doedee appeared in a red Christmas dress.

“This is a worrying amount of cameras for what I look like,” Doedee said.

Joe Daniher rocked a denim skirt and denim jacket as rumors of his possible impending retirement continued to swirl, while Brandon Starcevich stepped out as Walter White from Breaking Bad.

The team flew back to Brisbane on Sunday afternoon and were met by thousands of happy fans at the Brighton Homes Arena.

The team attended the Lions’ Melbourne family day at Brunswick St Oval in Fitzroy on Sunday.

Neale described finally winning the premiership as “much better” than he thought it would be.

“You always imagine that moment and think it’s going to be incredible,” he said.

“Words can’t really describe how incredible the last (period) since that last siren has been.

“I can’t really say what the best moment of my life is, otherwise my wife will kill me, but it’s very close.”

The club’s visit to the spiritual home of Fitzroy Football Club was in stark contrast to 12 months earlier, when the mood was somber following a heartbreaking four-point loss to Collingwood in the grand final.
