Angel Reese enjoys Baltimore homecoming as WNBA star cheers on Ravens – after missing out on Rookie of the Year to rival Caitlin Clark

Angel Reese continued to enjoy her time away from the WNBA as she made an appearance at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday.

Reese and the Chicago Sky failed to make the WNBA postseason, finishing 13-27 and one spot shy of the playoffs, but the rookie still couldn’t stay away from the sporting spotlight.

The Baltimore native cheered on her hometown Ravens as Lamar Jackson and co. took on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football.

The Sky star attended the NFL game with her brother and posed with a custom Ravens jersey on the sidelines.

Reese was even seen greeting Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who approached her on the sideline before the action started.

The 22-year-old wasn’t the only WNBA star to catch the NFL action on Sunday, as rival Caitlin Clark was also in attendance.

Clark received a warm ovation Sunday when she appeared on the video board at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The Indiana Fever rookie sensation enjoyed the Steelers-Colts game and had the NFL crowd in a frenzy after a phenomenal freshman campaign in the WNBA .

Reese missed out on Clark for WNBA Rookie of the Year after enjoying a historic rookie season in the league.

Her season was cut short after she suffered a broken wrist earlier this month, ending her rookie campaign.

The Sky missed the postseason for the first time since 2018, leading to the firing of coach Teresa Weatherspoon.

Chicago fired Weatherspoon less than a year after hiring her at the helm of the Windy City’s WNBA franchise, leaving Reese “heartbroken.”

‘I’m devastated. I am literally at a loss for words knowing what this woman meant to me at such a pivotal point in my life,” Reese said of the news of Weatherspoon’s firing. “She was the only person who believed in me. The one who trusted me.”

“Many don’t even know what it’s like to be a black woman in sports when no one believes in you. You had a tough job. All the crazy circumstances we’ve been through this year and when your back was against the wall, you always believed. I came to Chicago because of YOU.”

“You were an unsung hero in my life. In a short time we have built a relationship that will last forever. I will never question God as to why He brings people into my life and takes them from me in the capacity that I need them, but I have always believed that everyone is in your life for a reason and a time.”

“You were the best reason and season. You didn’t deserve this, but I can’t thank you enough. I love your teaspoon.”
