Gen Z woman is slammed for outrageous skit during Hurricane Helene: ‘This is insane’
A woman on TikTok has been slammed after she captured herself splashing around in filthy water after her living room was flooded by Hurricane Helene.
In a 15-second video posted online that has been viewed more than 13 million times, the woman can be seen sliding across the wooden floor to her family’s living room, covered in several inches of filthy rainwater.
The woman performed a series of dance moves seen in the 2008 dance film Step Up 2, in which she slipped on wood before splashing around as she tried to break a move.
“POV: Hurricane Helene is going crazy, but this scene in Step Up 2 is going to be even crazier,” Gen Z TikToker wrote.

A 15-second video posted online, which has been viewed more than 13 million times, shows the woman sliding across the wooden floor into her family’s living room.
She could be seen flopping around as she squeezed water out of her soaked T-shirt and shorts.
It sparked some biting reactions online from viewers who were far from impressed by the women’s antics.
Many were concerned that she was messing around in the water while the house’s electricity appeared to still be on, with an electric fan and several lights still shining brightly in the background.
“Bestie kills but turn off your electricity,” Taliewallie wrote.
“Bestie, you’re going to break it, but please turn on the circuit breaker.” Jenna urged.
“It’s wild to have the electricity on when there’s flooding. I would turn it off because I didn’t want to be electrocuted,” Emma Garrard suggested.

Others were more concerned about what the young woman might be swimming in.
“That’s sewage,” someone warned.

“When you decide you’re not going to let a hurricane ruin your day,” wrote one supporter of the woman’s antics.
“I love how generationally traumatized we all are as a generation because we haven’t gotten sooooo serious about such a traumatic and terrifying event.” wrote Cindy Dodge.
Many others posted similar comments, suggesting the woman really wasn’t acting her age.
“We can’t be the new adults,” JS wrote — a theme echoed by dozens of other Gen Zers.
Hurricane Helene made landfall late Thursday as a Category 4 storm, slamming into the Big Bend region of Florida with winds of 140 miles per hour.
The storm’s destructive path continued through Georgia. As the weakened storm moved north, it dumped heavy rainfall on the Carolinas and Tennessee, causing widespread flooding and landslides.
