Kyle Sandilands WALKS OFF radio show amid bizarre Alan Jones interview

The Kyle and Jackie O Show was plunged into chaos Friday morning after Kyle Sandilands went home early following an undisclosed incident.
Sandilands and co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson were interviewing conservative pundit Alan Jones when the chat was suddenly ‘dumped’ out of the blue.
Dumping is radio terminology for when a live show is interrupted because the broadcast delay (usually about 45 seconds) is insufficient to censor inappropriate content.

It’s unclear what caused the incident, but the KIIS FM show abruptly dropped the interview and began running about nine minutes of ads before returning to the airwaves.
When they returned, a frustrated Sandilands explained that they were in the midst of a “very big situation” and that his lawyers had advised him to leave.
“Anything can happen if communication goes down internally,” he said.
“So it’s too dangerous for me. My lawyer said, “Get yourself off the air until everyone sings from the same songbook”.
“There’s no point telling me and Jackie one thing and telling the staff…” he continued before being censored by a series of beeps.
It is unclear what caused the incident, but Sandilands explained that he called his lawyers and was told the situation was “dangerous” for him.
After the beeping, Henderson agreed, saying, “How could we ever know? Communication is the key word in these situations.’
Sandilands then said he “turned off the mic” and put it on hold.
It’s unclear what caused all the commotion, but just before the segment was dropped, Sandilands and Jones discussed how KIIS FM had snatched some talent from Alan’s former radio network 2GB.
The segment was abruptly dropped after Jones (pictured) started talking about being “secretly recorded” during a previous meltdown from years ago
Sandilands then said that one of the staffers they were holding, who now works as a panel operator on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, was caught watching YouTube compilation videos of both Sandilands and Jones showing “meltdowns.”
Jones then started talking about how he was “secretly recorded,” causing Jackie to gasp audibly.
As he tried to tell the story, the clip was then ‘dumped’ from the air before a series of pre-recorded advertisements started playing for nine minutes before Sandilands and Henderson returned without Jones.
ARN (Australian Radio Network) responded to the incident in a statement to the Daily Mail Australia, saying: “Kyle was upset about a segment that was dumped this morning and decided to give himself and the team an early assessment. The boys will be back on Monday from 6 o’clock.’

Jones hosted a popular breakfast show on 2GB for 18 years before departing in 2020.
At the time, the millionaire Sydney station told listeners that he was quitting due to ill health.
His departure came in the wake of controversy over comments he had made about New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
Jones later apologized for his comments after sponsors briefly boycotted the Macquarie Network, then owners of 2GB.
In 2021 Jones lost his spot on Sky News Australia when his contract was not renewed.

Meanwhile, in September, Sandilands unleashed an eight-minute diatribe on his own radio station after what he deemed stupidity by the company’s publicity team.
The 51-year-old was upset at the lack of press coverage of the historic ratings of The Kyle and Jackie O Show that week, when the KIIS 106.5 breakfast program reached its largest ever audience in Sydney.
Media outlets glossed over this fact and instead focused on host Ben Fordham’s market-leading market share of 2GB. This is because radio ratings are typically reported in terms of percentage share rather than total viewership.
Sandilands said the PR department of KIIS FM’s parent company, ARN, should have issued a press release highlighting the milestone of his show, labeling them “losers,” “flops” and “absolute a**eholes.” ‘ because of the apparent oversight.
He was aiming for an outside PR firm hired by ARN to handle media relations, but Daily Mail Australia understands that PR for research results is actually handled internally by ARN.

In addition, The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s rating milestone was even highlighted in an ARN press release following the latest GfK rating survey.
The release included survey highlights for other ARN stations, including WSFM.
“I’m tired of working here,” Sandilands snapped live into the air.
“Everyone is a loser, except everyone on this show. Anyone outside of this show is a huge loser. I do not make a joke.’
He added: ‘They have no idea. This whole station couldn’t take root in a brothel with a wheelbarrow full of money and a grin. They wouldn’t know, they wouldn’t have sex. They are too stupid. imbeciles.
“I’m sick of this joint hiring idiots to set things up and then it takes a year for them to find out that this guy is an ad**khead and he needs to be fired. Down with the flops. I should be running this whole joint.’
