Enterprising young couple buy adorable fixer-upper cabin situated in 10 acres of peaceful national forest for very reasonable price

A millennial couple purchased a charming 10-acre estate in the heart of a national forest for just $200,000.

In a viral TikTok video uploaded by Alyssa under the name @lysslanghomestead, the young duo, who are 28 and 29, document the renovation of their 900-square-foot cabin.

The industrious couple first show off their dogs as they run around their expansive property, which is bordered by mountains and beautiful trees whose leaves change color.

The text appears across the screen: ‘My husband and I bought a cabin in a national forest. It’s less than 900 square feet and it’s perfect and it’s a total job.”

The couple then shares their restoration efforts and shows before-and-after photos of the cabin.

Throughout this sequence, you can see Alyssa and her husband painting the walls of the house and replacing the “dirty tile floor” with something nicer.

“It’s our dream house,” she wrote. ‘We can’t wait to continue renovating.’

In an interview with NewsweekAlyssa revealed that she and her husband had always been interested in owning a property, but before finding the $200,000 cabin, it seemed “financially out of reach.”

Although they made significant renovations to the cabin, they were able to complete most of the work themselves, which has given them a deep sense of satisfaction.

“The renovation probably cost us about $10,000 to do all the work ourselves so far,” Alyssa said. Newsweek.

She continued, “Some of these projects can be stressful, but doing it ourselves has given us satisfaction knowing that you can achieve things that at first seem insurmountable.”

Alyssa’s TikTok also featured a beautiful view of the property, including a photo of the rustic and cozy-looking home. The hut is located in the middle of a grove of tall pine trees, and there is a well a few meters away from it.

The video, which has been viewed more than 423,000 times, showed a beautiful sunrise seen from the home’s porch.

The clip shows their idyllic setting with a fiery purple sky, with the text on the screen reading: ‘Our new morning coffee view with 10 hectares.’

Alyssa wrote that the couple had “access to the creek.” She also wrote in the comments section that the water “came directly from a spring on the mountain.”

Since the TikTok was posted in late June, it has continued to attract countless amazed viewers.

In the comments section, many users confess their sincere admiration for the couple’s project.

‘Beautiful house. After a lot of sweat equity your house will be a dream,” one person wrote.

But the couple is already considering some post-renovation plans, including expanding their home in the future

“We recently got married in the building,” Alyssa said. “In the near future, we plan to expand our homestead with some livestock, such as mules, donkeys, chickens, ducks and maybe some cattle.”
