Arsenal fans believe the club has accidentally leaked an uplifting injury update ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Leicester City.

Mikel Arteta’s team is struggling with several injuries, including to key players David Raya, Martin Odegaard and Ben White.

It has caused the Spaniard a headache and he has been forced to get creative, starting 16-year-old goalkeeper Jack Porter in place of Raya in the 5-1 midweek demolition of Bolton.

Despite mounting medical concerns, Arsenal have started the season brightly on the pitch, having won three and drawn two in a challenging run of games, only to be denied victory at Manchester City on Sunday after a John Stones equalizer in the 98th minute.

Fans are trying to take an extra positive from a recent video posted by the Gunners from their training center in London Colney.

On Thursday, Arsenal posted a video of players arriving for training. Among those who fist bumped the cameraman was Takehiro Tomiyasu.

The full-back has not yet enjoyed a minute of action this season after suffering a knee injury in pre-season and without knowing how far he is in his recovery, fans were happy to see him back.

“Glad to see Tomiyasu is still alive and well,” someone wrote on X.

‘To wait! Tell me Tomi is back in full training. Looks like another master of the Dark Arts is back and they’re not ready yet,” said another.

“Is that Tomiyasu reporting for training?” one asked.

“Tomi is back,” someone declared.

Another thought Tomiyasu looked rather somber as he walked in. ‘A man in his thoughts. I hope he handles it well mentally, it sucks to be on the sidelines injured.’

The Japanese star has no official return date, but Arteta said at the time of his injury: ‘I think it’s going to be weeks unfortunately for poor Tomi because of everything he’s doing.

In addition to Tomiyasu, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney also had to stay out of the action in recent weeks.
