UFC reaches $375m settlement on class-action lawsuit with another pending

The UFC has reached another settlement with one of the two parties in the class-action lawsuit, agreeing Thursday to pay the former fighters $375 million after an earlier agreement was rejected by a Nevada district judge.

Judge Richard Boulware in July rejected a $335 million settlement of two antitrust lawsuits, including one filed by Cung Le. The new agreement from UFC parent company TKO Group Holdings is with Le, who filed his lawsuit in 2014, and the court must still approve the terms.

β€œWhile we believe the original settlement was fair β€” a sentiment shared by the plaintiffs β€” we believe it is in the best interest of all parties to end this litigation,” the UFC said in a statement.

The UFC has yet to reach an agreement with Kajan Johnson, who filed his complaint in 2021. In a statement, the UFC said it is “still in the very early stages and a motion to dismiss the complaint is still pending.”
